“GOOGLE IT, TENNESSEE JUDICIARY”

by Karen Caldwell, blogging at LittleWomanBigFight

(Dec. 30, 2011) — Editor’s Note:  The Post & Email had covered Ms. Caldwell’s case, in which custody of both of her young daughters was awarded to the fathers in violation of Tennessee state law, here.  Ms. Caldwell has asked that those reading her story write letters of support to the members of the Tennessee legislature, particularly those on the Senate Judiciary Committee, about her plight.

The Post & Email has contacted numerous Tennessee legislators about Caldwell’s case stemming from apparent judicial corruption as well as the greater problem throughout the state and received one response just before Christmas.  We will recontact them following New Year’s Day.

From Ms. Caldwell’s blog post:

How can you help us?? Heres how, and THANK YOU in advance.

So many people have contacted me, wanting to know what they can do to help. Well heres your chance.

First I want to thank every one of you for all the prayers, and support that you have shown to my girls and me. Since this battle started and I realized what was being done to me by the Judges, I have been down every avenue allowed seeking justice. Unfortunately I was met with further corruption in some offices in attempts to protect the Judges who have acted criminally against my girls and me. Our very last resort for justice and accountability is the Tennessee General Assembly. According to the TN Constitution the House has the Sole Power to impeach and remove a Judge. Therefore I have to prove my evidence and case to the House and ask for impeachment and/or removal of the Judges. One thing that I have learned for SURE is that “backdoor” politics are alive and well. I have to assume the same in the General Assembly. Therefore I am asking you all to help me in a “writing campaign”. Seeing as how Tennessee has not impeached a Judge since 1958, I have to have A LOT of support from the House and Senate members. Therefore, I am writing this message to all of my friends, acquaintances, and strangers that support me in my fight for justice begging and pleading that you take some time, and write a letter, make 11 copies and send it to the below listed State Senators and House Representatives, as well as whomever your own state senator and Representative may be. Please send a hard copy, via mail or fax, as well as an email.

In your letters please do not pre-judge the Judges and DA. Please just ask the Senators and Reps. to listen to my issues, provide me and my daughters with whatever justice that is available and if during any investigation of the Judges and DA, crimes are found to be committed, then hold the all criminals accountable for their crimes, regardless of their titles.

Heres an example, please dont copy.

Dear ……..:

I am writing today pertaining to an issue in Madison Co. (Jackson, TN). A woman, Karen Caldwell, has been fighting what appears to be criminal acts committed by multiple Judges and the County District Attorney.  I am writing you today as a resident of Tennessee asking that you as state officials, with the power to hold members of the Judiciary accountable for any unethical acts, wrong doings or crimes, do so, in the event they are found in this matter. Please provide Ms. Caldwell and her daughters with the justice that this great state guarantees all of its law abiding citizens.

Then if you have any personal knowledge or relationship with my girls or me, please add to and personalize your own letters. Don’t copy this verbatim. I am just asking that you at least get the point across that you are a resident of TN and are supportive of me in my fight for accountability. If you are not a resident of TN do not think that doesnt mean write, just also please campaign anyone you know living in TN to write as well.

Since my struggles have come to light in public there have been some, not many, people snare at me and say how dare I call the Judges corrupt and so forth and so on, fact is, there are three sides to every story, yours, mine and what’s right. So I ask you all who may not fully agree with things I have said, to consider this, consider me your daughter, and ponder what if? Its unfathamable what has been done to me but, Its not up to me to hold these people accountable. I am asking our TN General Assembly to do so. There are many many people that sit in our Congress, and I would hope that you all have faith that they would not impeach or remove someone if  it was not warranted. Therefore, let them be the final decision makers. Its their duty. But, without help and alittle pressure to even look at my issues, I am merely a 26 year old girl, on the wrong side of the system. When in fact, my issues should be extremely important to each and every one of you. Because currently what IS A FACT, is that Judges are little Gods. Right now, a Judge can get off the bench, slap you in the face and you will have to fight tooth and nail, just to get a response. Hell, GOOGLE IT, Tennessee Judiciary. There are a lot of problems ALL stemming from lack of accountability. So, even if your feathers are ruffled from what I have said, and you supported and/or voted for James Butler (Chancery Court Judge), Christy Little (Juvenile Court Judge), Roger Page (Circuit Court Judge) or Jerry Woodall (DA) let the people who are responsible (The General Assembly) investigate my “allegations” and if you, yourself dont believe me and have the time and curiosity, come on down to Cash Today Pawn at 200 East Chester St. any day of the week and I will show you proof of criminal acts of retaliation and deprivation by every one I have previously stated, plus some. If youd like to call me and discuss any of this either, feel free to, you can reach me anytime at (731) 234-7327.

Lastly, thank you all again, who have supported me and continue to support and pray for me. I did not start this, I hate this, all I want is to live and let live, but I refuse to live without my daughters. I will never keep them from other members of their family, but I will never stop fighting to raise them, together. They deserve that and the day I give up, is the day I fail them. With the success from my issues will come accountability in our courts, and EVERYONE deserves that. So thank you all for the support and help in this matter, we are all eternally grateful.

Karen Caldwell
