(Jun. 21, 2025) — 7:59 p.m. EDT — Minutes ago, President Donald Trump announced a “very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan” on his TruthSocial account.

The declaration follows a meeting Saturday afternoon with the national security council as the president weighs whether to involve the U.S. military in Israel’s efforts to annihilate Iran’s nuclear capabilities, considered to be approaching the ability to launch a nuclear weapon.

“All planes are now outside of Iran air space,” Trump wrote in his post. “A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The Fordow nuclear site, Wikipedia reports Saturday evening, “was an Iranian underground uranium enrichment facility located 30 kilometres (20 mi) north of the Iranian city of Qom,[1] at a former Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps base.[2][3]

“The Natanz Nuclear Facility (Persian: تأسیسات هسته‌ای نطنز), officially the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Nuclear Facilities (Persian: تأسیسات هسته‌ای شهید احمدی روشن), is one of the nuclear facilities in Iran, which was built near Natanz for uranium enrichment,” Wikipedia states.

The uranium enrichment plant Esfahan possesses 15,000 centrifuges which were “severely damaged” by the earlier Israeli strike, The Times of Israel reported.

According to CNN, the three sites are identical to those Israel struck on June 16.

Slightly more than two months ago, Trump urged Iran to accept a “deal” by which it would abandon its nuclear ambitions, an offer the mullahs refused. While reportedly significantly weakened from Israel’s attacks launched on June 13, Iran has said it will not negotiate with Trump and continues to wish for “death” to the U.S. and the Jewish state.
