“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. With us today is the well-known playwright, Joseph Cone, who invited us for the gala opening night. And that’s where we are, 17th row center and the curtain is rising to an empty stage with desks and chairs facing the audience in a semi-circle.
“Now we see well-dressed people entering from stage left and right, a few in their twenties but most middle-aged with a spattering of old folks. Wait; quiet please. Some unseen voice is asking the lady at the front-left desk if she wants to change her mind – what did the voice say, ‘Get with it’? – and the lady shakes her head ‘No’ and then keels over dead.
“I’m beginning to get the picture: the desks on the left represent Dems. Meanwhile, the invisible voice is going from desk to desk leaving dead people either slumped over or laid-out on the floor. Wait, one of those in the last row shook her head, ‘Yes,’ while those on either side are clearly dead.
“Now the voice is heard from the right side. I hear the word, ‘RINO,’ and the geezer shakes his head, ‘No’ and then slumps over dead as a door nail. We hear the voice continue from desk to desk. A few of the RINOs shake their heads ‘Yes’ and continue to play solitaire on their laptops or watch a movie. And now the curtain comes down. That’s it? Excuse me, but we’ve got a few questions for you, Mr. Cone. What the heck did we just see?”
“You saw the ‘Political Invisible Man‘ acting out what many of us wish would happen.”
“But dead?”
“As a door nail.”
“Are there others?”
“All of them: whoever wants to destroy America they, too, shall be destroyed.”
“That sounds like Bible talk.”
“I think more like Cecil B. DeMille.”
“I’m speechless. What’s on the horizon?”
“Deporting each and every illegal, is what. We are being invaded and don’t even know it. We better send the Army down there like now.”
“Use real bullets?”
“Is there any other? Either we save our country, or we just give it up. No more complaining and whining: just do it and do it right. Start with the traitors in Washington, DC, and then spread out from there until we take our country back. No exceptions.”
“What will the play be called?”
“’Doncha’ Think it’s Time.’ I think it’ll be a big hit.”
“I hope so, and with that we’ll be wishing you all a goodnight: Goodnight.
“Strange show, but I think it portrays a lot of our sentiments. Burger time: my treat.”
[All kidding aside, if Trump ever gets back in we hope he names OPOVV to clear our country of all the unwanteds, from DACA freeloaders to MS-13 gang members and all the trash in between. By the way, that includes each and every “migrant” and Muslim. I understand that OPOVV will do the job for $1.00 a year.]
