Sweet Dream Op 39, 21” (2:00)

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. Roving Reporter (RR) is vacationing in Ormond Beach, FL, the Birthplace of Speed, so, as a favor, I’m filling in to interview a retired county employee who wishes to be addressed as ‘Mr. No Name.’ Welcome to ‘Pulse,’ the show that used to be on satellite but is now broadcast through the General’s shortwave set. How come you wish to remain anonymous? I mean, you’re retired, so why would you care what anyone thinks?”

“Because they pretend to think because I worked with them, side by side, for twenty years, I know how they act: like sheep; they are the true ‘know not what they do.’ It’s like they may become a danger; who knows?”

“You don’t seem to have much respect for your former co-workers.”

“None whatsoever, especially the bosses that were promoted using the USPS advancement system.”

“How’s that work?”

“They reward incompetence, keeping your mouth shut, not advancing solutions that are safer and more cost-effective: in short, let sleeping dogs lie.”

“That bad?”

“Worse, beyond worse. They are the ones who cheat the taxpayers and yet they are taxpayers themselves; they are so dumb they don’t even know that they’re shooting themselves in the foot; they don’t seem to realize that taking breaks when they should be working is a form of theft, from themselves, no less. But then their bosses play solitaire every waking minute, which makes for a sad example of a work ethic: door closed; I’m taking a nap, so don’t bother me.”

“And this went on for twenty years?”

“Multiply my little world by every city, county, state and federal jurisdiction throughout the whole country and call it the Deep State; wasteland; the grassland of Socialism; the incubator of sloth.”

“Incredible; when did this all start?”

“One could say it started the day JFK died. So, too, did the Democratic Party, which morphed into the insatiable monster that we know as Socialism, a form of control that has never been successful whenever and wherever it raises its ugly head. It is now known as the Democratic Socialist Party, as if that’s something to be proud of.”

“You mean like Venezuela?”

“Yes, like Venezuela. The first thing they did was confiscate the guns, just like the NAZI Party did in 1930’s Germany. Next came the Gestapo, dishing out death, first in the dark of night and then out in the open, when there was nobody left to stop the lawlessness, the anarchy, the nihilism that took hold: close the churches and Synagogues.”

“Gee whiz, that’s painting a pretty grim picture.”

“Well, isn’t that what a rational person sees when they look at Biden-Harris, or that de Blasio character?”

“Yes, I suppose so.”

“The wall (, by the way, is but a symbol of our failure to deport those who entered our country illegally.”

“And our failure to deal with them afterwards.”

“That’s right; we talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. The thing to do is confiscate everything they own, then kick them out; that’ll stop any more from wanting to sneak in.”

“What about those who are already here?”

“Same thing: give them a few months to get the heck out; if not, take their money and possessions and then kick them out. Look, we shouldn’t have to have the wall in the first place; the only reason we do is because we give illegal immigrants welfare, send them to college and coddle them, and that’s the truth. They shouldn’t even be here, but thanks to some pretty lazy people who don’t give a darn about our country, we end up with sanctuary cities, for cryin’ out loud.”

“So who do you think is to blame?”

“I blame the whole darn system that allows county employees to steal time, money and votes. I blame law enforcement for looking the other way for fear of losing their jobs. I just have one question: how come the police haven’t arrested the Portland mayor or the governor of Oregon rather than allow the riots – looting and burning – go on night after night? What’s wrong with law enforcement when they can’t even uphold their Oath?”

“Maybe they’re afraid of losing their job.”

“Get another one; stand up for what’s right, for once. Let me ask you this: what kind of cop would work for New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, someone who has a high disregard for the police? Is integrity and honor held so cheaply these days?”

“I guess you answered your own question, why we have a wall: the people we hire to protect us don’t; it’s as simple as that. There shouldn’t be one illegal immigrant in our country, let alone MS-13 gangbangers, okay?”

“And for once and for all, let’s place the blame where it belongs, on incompetent, unqualified and disgusting bureaucrats* who don’t give a hoot about their job, community or country, the very kind of people who mindlessly follow illegal orders to falsify votes. In leaving you, I’d like to paraphrase a quote from the British actor, Michael Caine, who said: ‘Reinstating the Draft gives young people a sense of belonging rather than a sense of violence’**.’  I’ll be wishing you, on behalf of our guest, Mr. No Name, a goodnight: Goodnight.

“Good show. Burger time: my treat.”

[*bureaucrats: I contend that maybe 10% of them are honest and hardworking.]

[**violence: Here’s the question: what are the chances of any BLM or ANTIFA nitwits being Honorably Discharged Military Veterans?]

Sincerely” (2:13)
