THOUGHTS FROM DWIGHT KEHOE

by Dwight Kehoe, ©2018

(Apr. 2, 2018) — Just about every citizen of this great country has had relatives or themselves touched by the consequences of the sometimes dreadful and brutal cost of freedom that we as Americans enjoy and prosper under.

So many have died, lost limbs and in many cases forfeited the ability to exist and endure in the world for which they have sacrificed to make secure for generations of Americans to follow.

As we contemplate these many and heroic acts of selflessness, by not just soldiers and policemen but also the families of those left behind or left to care for the wounded and incapacitated, we must enter into that thought process as to whether every citizen should be required to put some skin in the game. Skin in the form of having to exist in a very small amount of danger for the overall sake of freedom and prosperity.

Leftist ideologues have not limited their Utopian rhetoric of promising the masses equality and fairness, regardless of ability or work ethic; they assure too, safety and security for everyone.  To bask in this heaven on earth all society need do is forfeit its liberty. They will be the arbiters. They will be your gods.

The 2nd Amendment is but one of the very important parts of the Bill of Rights. But it is the most important, for without it the others will be lost to tyranny. The 2nd Amendment protects the rights of 320 million Americans and forbids the government from taking away our right to self-defense.  Just as soldiers are called upon to sacrifice for the many, so, too, should every American understand that there is a certain peril associated with freedom.

While the Bill of Rights for sure helps a few criminals, terrorists and psychological maniacs evade scrutiny prior to committing felonies or other crimes, that same document prevents any authority from preventing law-abiding citizens from having the ability to defend themselves.

For sure, without the 2nd Amendment, it might be more difficult for the occasional bad guy to arm up. But also and for sure, without that Amendment honest, law-abiding citizens will not have the means to defend against the dregs of society. Nor will they have the means of deterring a runaway tyrannical government.

So now, we Americans are expected to throw away hundreds of years of knowledge, sacrifice and successful nation-building as authored by our Founders and listen to the rantings of a spoiled, rotten, foul-mouthed, 17-year-old imbecile whose life experience is limited to a few years of indoctrination by his swamp-creature father and fake-news mother.  Thanks, but no thanks.

  1. When I was on active service in the United States military, I have actually prescribed and took part in protecting the Constitution by eliminating any of the bad guys within the range of the weapon I happened to be carrying at the time, from a Stone Age weapon – knife – to supersonic missiles.
I no longer walk around armed to the gills, but I do walk around armed to the teeth.
Those who support the elimination of the Second Amendment are enemies of the Constitution, ergo an enemy of mine and everyone else who believes in the Constitution and the rule of law.
Spouting ignorance — with fist raised — is nothing more than a cry for help by a child who is being used by the traitors of our country who think nothing of brainwashing a child that “giving up” is a sign of maturity. But “mental abuse” is a crime easy to prove but hard to convict; I mean, what should we do, round up all the anti-American-pro-Obama-pro-Hillary supporters?
We could superglue “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN” hats on their heads; that we can do.
