…OR DOES HE?

by Sharon Rondeau

What does this image say about Obama’s past?

(Jul. 15, 2015) — In the October 1, 2006 edition of the Rockford (IL) Register Star, the headline from an article about a townhall meeting held by Barack Hussein Obama as a U.S. Senator read, “Obama Wants U.S. Out of Iraq.”

A large photo to the right of the title shows Obama hugging an older woman with eyeglasses identified in the caption as “Alma Walsh of Delafield, WI.”  Walsh is smiling as Obama holds his face close to her white hair during the embrace.

As reported by columnist Chuck Sweeny, Obama’s townhall meeting included discussion of the war in Iraq, which Obama reportedly deplored as having “cost taxpayers $500 billion.”  Obama criticized former President George W. Bush’s handling of the Iraq war and advocated a gradual removal of U.S. troops.  He was also quoted as having said that the U.S.’s role in Iraq was not to “baby-sit for the next 50 years.”

In a follow-on column on the same page titled “Voices” featuring opinions submitted by readers, an associate minister of a Rockford area church is quoted as having commented about Obama, “He definitely could be the first African-American president or vice president.  He’s got diversified support across the country and he brings America together.”

A 22-year-old female was quoted as having said of the senator, “He would make a better president than most.  He’s honest.  He doesn’t hide his past.  That’s a trait most presidents should have and don’t.”

Contrary to the statement made by the enthusiastic 22-year-old, many unanswered questions exist about Obama’s past.

While Obama claims a birth in Hawaii, no hospital there has confirmed it.

When he ran for president in 2008, Obama’s Illinois state senate and U.S. Senate records were kept concealed from public scrutiny.  The documents surrounding his Illinois law license application and surrender of that license during the campaign were not released.

His elementary school, college and medical records have never been released.  In regard to his college attendance, presidential candidate Donald Trump stated publicly last year that he believes Obama either truthfully applied for financial aid as a foreign student or falsified the information on his application in order to apply for funds reserved for foreign students attending college in the United States.

On June 12, 2008, an image titled “Certification of Live Birth” was released at The Daily KOS and reported to be Obama’s “birth certificate.”  The circumstances by which the purported document was obtained were never detailed.  Later, then-White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs claimed in May 2009 that the image was the only birth certificate available from the state of Hawaii, where Obama claims he was born.  Many experts quickly denounced the image as a forgery.

In September 2008, retired federal employee Stephen Coffman filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for Obama’s Selective Service registration records.  On November 13, 2008, blogger Debbie Schlussel reported that Obama’s “Selective Service System registration (“SSS Form 1″) and accompanying computer print-out (“SSS Print-out), below, released by the Selective Service show the following oddities and irregularities, all of which indicate the document was created in 2008 and backdated:…”

Schlussel then contended, based on the documents Coffman finally received from the Selective Service System after many months, that the “postal stamp is incorrect” and that there was a “missing printout page.”

“It’s incredible that our impending Commander-in-Chief either didn’t register for the draft or did so belatedly and fraudulently,” Schlussel concluded.

Subsequent FOIA requesters for the same documents received forms which differed from those Coffman received, including this writer in 2010.

In September 2011, Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio asked his volunteer Cold Case Posse to investigate claims that the long-form birth certificate image posted on the White House website was fraudulent.  Within less than six months, lead investigator Mike Zullo and Arpaio declared at a press conference that the investigation found that the image was a “computer-generated forgery,” along with Obama’s Selective Service registration form.

Early in 2011, when Trump had considered whether or not to challenge Obama for the White House in 2012, Trump publicly called for Obama to release his more detailed birth certificate which would have allegedly proven that he was born in the U.S., a requirement Trump said was necessary for the president and commander-in-chief.  Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution stipulates that the president be a “natural born Citizen.”

Many believe that Obama is not eligible by virtue alone of his foreign-citizen father.

According to the September 2008 issue of The Atlantic, Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign considered using a strategy which would have painted Obama as “not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values.”  Then-Clinton adviser Mark Penn reportedly “made the rather astonishing suggestion to target Obama’s ‘lack of American roots’”….  The link included with those words by The Atlantic now leads to an Error 404 message.

When Arpaio and Zullo approached Selective Service System Director Lawrence Romo with their findings in 2012, requesting to see a certified copy of Obama’s documentation purportedly retained by the agency, Romo refused, advising them to contact the FBI if they believed a crime had been committed.

The Cold Case Posse’s investigation has continued, although Zullo has given few interviews since late 2013, when he said that the probe had resulted in a second criminal investigation which “turned very dark.”  However, last week, Zullo provided a 40-minute update on Carl Gallups’s “Freedom Friday” during which he described an astonishing level of deceit on the part of the White House to mislead Americans about Obama’s background.

Obama wrote in his book that “It had taken me less than six months to learn Indonesia’s language, its customs, and its legends,” yet reports exist that Obama struggled to learn the language. A March 2007 Chicago Tribune article reportedly stated that “Teachers, former playmates and friends recall a boy who never fully grasped their language and who was very quiet as a result. But one word Obama learned quickly in his new home was curang, which means ‘cheater.'”

The link embedded in a comment dated July 12, 2008 now leads to an error message.

A December 31, 2007 Bloomberg article describes Obama’s Indonesian as “broken” as allegedly reported by his former classmates.  Bloomberg also quotes “Other Jakarta residents” as having said of Obama’s presidential candidacy that “they first learned about his Southeast Asian roots the same way as many Americans: through television talk-show host and Obama backer Oprah Winfrey” and “he’s from Indonesia.”

On December 18, 2007, MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews said on air that Obama was “born in Indonesia” and had “an Islamic background.”

As reported in 2010 by WND, the Associated Press first reported that Obama was taken to Indonesia by his mother when he was two years old, but his public biography states that he was six years old at the time.  An article quoted by Dr. Jerome Corsi which The Post & Email has seen in a 1990 write-up of Obama’s having been elected president of The Harvard Law Review states that Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., was educated at Oxford University and Harvard, whereas Obama’s public life narrative states that his father attended and graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he reportedly met Obama’s claimed mother, Stanley Ann Dunham.

Obama’s birthplace has also been reported as Kenya as early as 2004, although many such statements have since disappeared from the web.  As prepared by his literary agent in 1991, Obama’s biography stated that he was “born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii” as revealed by Breitbart News in May 2012.  When confronted, the former literary agent attributed the statement to a “fact checking error.”

Some are echoing the accusation made by retired Navy veteran Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III in March 2009 by labeling Obama a traitor.  Many have called him “un-American.”

What are the facts about the man who occupies the Oval Office?  To whom or what does he owe his allegiance?
