Former CIA Agent Analyzes Iran “Deal”

“THIS IS A VERY, VERY BAD IDEA”

(Apr. 2, 2015) — On Thursday evening, intelligence analyst and WDFP radio host Denise Simon interviewed a former CIA agent Charles Fattis, who expressed bewilderment at the “deal” Obama announced with the Iranian Islamic Republic earlier in the day.

Fattis, who has experience in nuclear weapons development, said that Iran “was never required to come clean” on its nuclear program, which Simon said will be allowed to continue at an underground site in Fordo.

AFP reported that “Iran’s Fordo facility, built into a mountain near the holy city of Qom, will not be used for uranium enrichment for at least 15 years, meaning Natanz will be the only enrichment facility.  Fordo will be converted into a nuclear, physics, technology and research centre.”

Obama has said that the “historic” agreement “will make the world safer.”

In response to the framework reportedly agreed upon in Lausanne, Switzerland after three members of the P5+1 coalition withdrew and returned to their home countries, Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, said that Iran’s goal is “the lifting of all sanctions completely.”

On his Twitter account on Thursday evening, Zarif wrote that an element of the agreement is that “The EU will TERMINATE the implementation of ALL nuclear-related economic and financial sanctions,” but then asked, “How about this?”

It was also reported that Zarif claimed that the Obama regime is “lying” about the conditions to which Iran allegedly agreed during the negotiations, which stretched two days beyond the stated deadline of March 31.  Iran claimed earlier on Thursday that the agreement allows it to continue its uranium-enrichment program “and that all sanctions of the Islamic Republic would be terminated.”

Congress might insist that it approve the agreement before it can be implemented.

Obama said that “the framework, if fully implemented, would prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.”  However, a State Department “fact sheet” suggests that Iran is currently “2 to 3 months” away from acquiring a nuclear bomb.  In an apparent response, Zarif tweeted, “The solutions are good for all, as they stand. There is no need to spin using ‘fact sheets’ so early on.”

Obama lifted sanctions against the rogue nation 18 months ago, and a now-removed New York Times article stated in September 2012 that the regime, through Valerie Jarrett, who was born in Iran, had been negotiating with Iran in secret.

Fattis told Simon that the agreement between the P5+1 and Iran is “a very, very bad idea.”  He maintained that the Obama regime has allowed Iran’s sinister intentions to flourish for years.

Iran supports such terrorist groups as Hezbollah and the Houthi rebels, the latter of whom have overtaken the sitting Yemeni government, driving out U.S. Marines and President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

To explain Obama’s actions, some have hypothesized that he seeks “a legacy,” while one writer believes that Obama is attempting to force the creation of a Palestinian state far exceeding the size of that to which Israel would be reduced.

Farris further told Simon that the U.S. “needs to be more aggressive” in pursuing Islamic terrorists given the arrest of two women who were allegedly planning to explode pressure cooker bombs in New York City after becoming allied with the Islamic State terror group.  “It can happen any day,” Farris said of a terrorist attack which he speculated would be worse than the Boston Marathon bombing two years ago which maimed hundreds and killed three.

The Islamic State, or ISIS, has infiltrated the United States in several locations.

Obama has shown deference to Islam since he entered the White House on January 20, 2009 with an undisclosed background and questionable constitutional eligibility about which Congress has refused to act.  On March 17, 2009, CDR Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III (Ret.) formally accused Obama of treason by means of “contrivance, concealment, conceit, dissembling, and deceit.”

While Islamics with connections to The Muslim Brotherhood have visited, influenced, and advised the White House in sensitive national security positions, Christians and Jews have been marginalized, persecuted, ridiculed, and denied their First Amendment rights by the Obama regime.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly spoke with Obama on Thursday, informing him that “A deal based on this framework would threaten the survival of Israel.”

A further deadline of June 30 has been set to establish the final elements of the “deal,” the result of which could be military action by Israel.
