CONGRESS HAS THE ABILITY TO INTRODUCE ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT

(Mar. 22, 2011) — On the eighth anniversary of the day President George W. Bush ordered US troops into Iraq in 2003, with the full support of the US Congress and majority support from the UN Security Council, Barack Obama launched a Tomahawk missile assault on the sovereign nation of Libya with no majority support in the UN and without even consulting Congress.
Acting alone while Congress was away on recess, solely at the command of the United Nations and without constitutional authority, Barack Obama dropped over $70 million worth of Tomahawk missiles on the sovereign nation of Libya in a dictatorial maneuver to force regime change of a foreign land.
He launched a military assault on Libya under what authority? To be certain, Gadhafi is no prize, but what Obama just did is far worse. Acting all alone in a truly imperialistic fashion, Obama violated his Oath of Office, Article I and II of the US Constitution and The War Powers Act, all in one mindless knee-jerk decision.
Article II – Section II of the US Constitution identifies the US President as the civilian oversight of the US Military and Commander-in-Chief. But it gives the US President no authority to use military might to enforce its political will upon foreign nations.
Article I – Section VIII of the US Constitution rests the power to declare war solely with the US Congress. It requires both the Commander-in-Chief and Congress to commit US troops to combat, without which the act is wholly unconstitutional.
Even the Washington Times managed to get this one right in its editorial – Obama’s Illegal War.
The 1973 War Powers Act was put in place to prevent a US President from doing exactly what Barack Obama just did.
SEC. 2. (a) It is the purpose of this joint resolution to fulfill the intent of the framers of the Constitution of the United States and insure that the collective judgment of both the Congress and the President will apply to the introduction of United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, and to the continued use of such forces in hostilities or in such situations.
A US Commander-in-Chief can order use of military force in only three specific conditions…
(1) a declaration of war,
(2) specific statutory authorization, or
(3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.
The US Congress has not declared war against a foreign nation since WWII. But when George W. Bush sent troops into Afghanistan and Iraq following the September 11, 2001 attacks on US soil, he not only consulted congress in advance, he sought and received specific statutory authorization from congress before ordering troops into combat. Bush complied with the constitution and War Powers Act under conditions (2) and (3). He also had a broad coalition of UN partners backed by years of Iraqi broken UN resolutions.
In the case of Obama and Libya, none of these conditions exist.
1) Congress did not declare war.
2) Congress was not consulted and did not give specific statutory authorization.
3) The US was not attacked in any way by Libya which presented no threat to the US or US assets.
As a result, Barack Obama had NO constitutional authority to attack Libya with over $70 million worth of US taxpayer Tomahawks, placing American soldiers in harm’s way in yet another war which cannot even be justified by the pursuit of oil.
Obama touched down in Brazil as American soldiers launched a military assault on Libya at Obama’s command. Obama stands alone in this decision and order, without the support of the American people, without constitutional authority and in direct violation of his Oath of Office and the War Powers Act.
Obama is a war criminal and traitor as a result. He has acted alone, well beyond the scope and authority of his office and at odds with the national interests of the United States and the constitution which he took an oath to uphold and defend.
The Washington Times has it right. Even crook Democrat Charlie Rangel has it right – saying he was angry that Congress was not consulted before the military strikes.
He said he was undecided on whether the military action against Libya was justified but thought lawmakers and their constituents should have had time to weigh in. “Our presidents seem to believe that all we have to do is go to the U.N. and we go to war,” Rangel said.
Rangel is right this time – a president must consult Congress unless the US is under attack. Obama did not consult or even notify Congress in advance. He acted alone on the command of the UN.
Although the UN clearly has command over Barack Obama, the UN has no command authority over the US Armed Forces. Obama used US soldiers illegally and unconstitutionally. These are the facts…
But where is Congress?
Anti-war liberal and libertarian politicians like Ron Paul have attacked President Bush for years on Iraq and Afghanistan, even though Bush openly consulted, sought and received congressional authority for both military actions.
Here we have a clear-cut violation and abuse of presidential powers, and where are all the Code Pink, MoveOn.org, Ron Paul anti-war types?
Who in the US Congress, specifically the Republican-controlled House, is going to launch a full-scale investigation into Obama’s dictatorial use of military might and begin impeachment proceedings?
Americans are well aware of the fact that we have a lawless renegade regime running our federal government which does not concern itself with the Constitution or rule of law no matter the subject.
But now that anti-American renegade regime is illegally using military might to enforce its political will upon foreign sovereign nations, acting as though their oath is to the UN rather than the USA and as if they are free from any limitations or consequences.
Who in the US Congress is going to put a stop to the growing insanity? We have a runaway government acting against the interests of the United States and beyond its legal authority. Will anyone have the backbone to stop it and hold Obama accountable?
Will there be an international war crimes trial of Barack Obama?
We deserve what we get with this traitorous buffoon. He well destroy this country (he’s well on his way) if we don’t stop him.
Obama is not only a traitor to the United States. He is a dangerous traitor and a disgrace to all people of African descent. He accused George Bush of all sorts of things when he war in the Senate. Now he has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he only wanted power and name for himself to overcome his inferiority complex as a bastard and nothing else! It is for this reason that he left his original church! He was a traitor to his own church! He is a traitor to the American Constitution! He is a traitor to Africa! Libya is not located in the Gulf! It is located in Africa. Libya is not a member of the Arab League! It is a member of the African African Union! Gadhafi is not an Arab! He is an African Berber! I completely agree with this article. Just wanted to ask though, that I have not heard anyone say the worst part is that our military followed ILLEGAL ORDERS! Isn’t this akin to exactly what Lt. Col. Lakin, Commander Kerchner and others were afraid of?
Why did the military follow illegal orders. What were they told when they were told they were to go into Libya? Were they lied to and told Congress said so?
These questions need to be answered. Also, Does Lt. Col. Lakin have recourse after this??

Nobody should be surprised by any of this. Obama showed his hand when he took an oath of allegiance to preside over the U.N. Security Council in September of 2009 while POTUS, in a move the White House described as “unprecedented”. It was treason then and it has brought us to this point. How much is enough to make the Congress act is anybody’s guess. So are we now officially a dictatorship?
Everyone in congress and the supreme court has declared WAR against the 320 million citizens of the USA to enhance the Federal Reserve and The Bilderbergs! They are obviously getting ALOT of MONEY in THEIR SECRET ACCOUNTS! once again i say get those criminal treason complaints filed with your local f. b. i. office or and your nearest district attorneys office. the federal and state authorities will not be able to run away from prosecuting obama if there are hundreds of thousands of charges filed. obama will be surrounded by a hornets nest and will not be able to escape. stop relying on congress. they are all complicit in the fraud of obama and are not going to do anything because so many of them would go to jail.

Has your state begun legislation for the Eligibility Bill?? If not, take the bull by the horns, patriots! No court is going to hear these cases (as they have proven time and time again). Beating a dead horse is futile. Use your time and energy in ways which will affect future elections. If Congress holds impeachment hearings, all the better, but do not hold your breath. The above article is TRUE to the word, However; it is not true that Bush went to war under the guidance of the US Constitution. He once or more times on National TV stated that the US Constitution was ONLY a piece of paper and did not apply to him. He committed as many War Crimes as Obama, but over a longer period of time. I can easily prove here and now just how stupid congress really is; If any of them had any brains at all, one or more would step forward and blow the whistle on obama, and be a hero; however they are all so afraid that they will loose their lofty positions, that they sit there like total fools while ignoring their constituents. I am in complete agreement with this article and also believe that every thing obama has done while in office has been illegal and against the constitution. Now to give my opinion on the last paragraph of this article. IMO I don’t think any one in congress has the backbone to do any thing about this which is a shame, but that’s how I feel and obama will get by doing this just like he has everything else. I hope I am wrong about this, but I haven’t seen any action against obama yet.

to j. b. williams —– obama is an illegal usurpur potus and c. i. c. forget about congress doing anything about him because too many of them stand to go to prison due to their involvement in his 2008 fraudulent election and very possibly other very damaging information obama has that could bring the entire congress down. i encourage all to get those treason charges filed against obama with your local district attorneys and local f. b. i. people. we need massive amounts to be filed in order to force state and federal officials to act on obama. they will not be able to run away if enough charges get filed on obama.

I am repeating myself on this…but I am totally convinced this is why Congress will NEVER take up the eligibility issue or try to impeach Obama.
Congress cannot and will not ever attempt to oust Obama on eligibility because many members, who are still in Congress, would be sent to prison for a very long time.Therefore, Congress will have nothing to do with kicking Barry out on ineligibility or impeaching him…in both cases to keep their sorry butts out of jail. There is no other reasonable explanation for their refusal to do anything.
This is the last comment I got from my Senators office, just a few days ago:
“Leaders of Congress have had a meeting and decided the information from Hawaii regarding Obama’s eligibility is acceptible to prove Obama’s eligibility and they are taking no action.”
What that means is the “leaders” who were all involved in knowingly getting an ineligible person on the ballot and eventually elected are not about to do anything that could officially reveal information that would put them in jail. Obama is now impeachment proof and ineligibilty proof because of the slugs in Congress who broke many laws and will continue the cover-up until hell freezes over to keep their sorry butts out of jail. Obama cannot be kicked out on ineligibility or impeached without damaging information about a lot of people in powerful positions being revealed….so these powerful people are simply not going to allow it to happen, even if 95% of America can clearly see what is going on.
Those in Congress who were not directly involved in the election fraud to get Barry on the ballot have been, though not in these words, told to lie. Their staff is presenting completely discredited information, and just ignoring anything that has occured since April 2009.
To me that is the only explaination that makes sense. The office of my Senator has reverted back to strictly using the April 2009 Congressional Research Service document as their only source of information on Obama’s eligibility, no more discussion or even, in a few cases seeming to agree with me…….they are back to their security document they believe will save them.

The only solution appears to be in the mindset of our brave American forefathers in 1776, but I don’t think most Americans have any guts anymore. Most would rather die peacefully as slaves, and deserve such a shameful death.
Americans can forget the executive and legislative branches in ousting Obama, and the courts are corrupt as well. Americans need to march on the Supreme Court and demand impeachment proceedings against most of the black robes in that den of treasonous snakes. But here again, those complicit in the Obama fraud won’t act as usual. So we’re back to 1776 again.
