“AIDING AND ABETTING”

(Sep. 23, 2016) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. As you can tell, we’re back in our regular time slot. For those of you who caught us the other day, we were on live in the morning and it just didn’t work out quite the way it should’ve. You can’t believe what people will say while on the air, live, like they have absolutely no shame.

“Reminds me of the looters in Charlotte. No pride, no integrity, and no honesty, so is it any wonder why the rest of society shuns such people? Geraldo Rivera seems to want to give such people a free pass, as Rudy Giuliani commented the other day on television. Okay, here comes our first person to interview.

“Hello. Care to answer a question for us?”

“You’re that Chief guy, right? What’s with the rifle?”

“The rifle is for personal protection, and so is this .38. It’s a cruel world and getting more violent day by day. Let me see your gun.”

“This off the record?”

“You bet.”

“See, it’s a lightweight .38 Magnum that I carry in my pocket. No mob is going to sucker-punch me.”

“What about the ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ fallacy?”

“Look: I’m sick and tired of the lies, but I’m even more sick and tired of the lies, after being exposed as lies, that keep on popping up: people walking around with their hands up. Look, I hate to say it, but if we humans had a license to cleanse the human gene pool of the stupidity gene…”

“We understand, trust me.

“This is off the record? For sure?”

“You have my word.”

“I worked for the DOJ for 33 years and I’ve still some pretty good contacts there, even after 15 years in retirement. This is the talk around the water cooler: the DOJ is aiding and abetting the rioters, and, even if a rioter can be positively identified as the person who beat up a homeless man or a couple of white teenage girls in Charlotte, the DOJ will not prosecute and will hinder any such prosecution.”

“For sure?”

“Straight skinny. ‘If I’m lying I’m dying.’ And there’s more. The DOJ plants falsehoods as if it’s the truth; it’s picked up by the mainstream media, and before you know it; the outright lie of yesterday becomes today’s truth. And the ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ is now accepted as fact when, in truth, it’s just as much a lie as yesterday as it is today.

“For example?”

“’It’s not their fault if they loot, burn police cars (or destroy any private property), and randomly attack innocent bystanders.’”

“Sounds like the Muslim method of attacking.”

“Oh, it’s terrifying: a riot, no doubt about it. Who the heck pays for those police cars? The taxpayer, that’s who. Who’s paying for all the overtime for the police? The taxpayers are. The money has to come from somewhere, so the city is forced to raise taxes and that cost is passed to the property owner who in turn is forced to raise the rent, so those very people who riot are – and this is for real — just taking money out of their very own pocket, but they’re just too darn stupid to realize it.”

“Pretty dumb, eh?”

“Colossally dumb, just as Jesse Jackson is dumb as a fox: making a living out of making excuses for stupidity; for his whines about all the people in jail. Hey, ever hear of ‘Thou shall not steal?’ Making up excuses for theft: that’s why I carry, and so do my wife and daughter: no one is going to steal our lives. And there’s my train. Bye.”

“Goodbye, and thanks for talking with us. Little bit of rain sure clears the streets, so as long as I’ve got a minute I’d like to throw in my two cents’ worth. You just have to carry a weapon, even if it’s a little .32 caliber pistol. You just cannot expect the police to protect you as Hillary’s armed guards protect her; you owe it to yourself to protect yourself. And here comes someone. Excuse me, Miss, care to answer a question for our viewers? Here, deflate your umbrella and stand under the awning with us.”

“’Deflate my umbrella’? Funny. I know who you are. Hello, cameraman and sound-boom lady. What are you hiding under your buckskin jacket? Oh, it’s your rifle; is that thing loaded?”

“Last time I checked. What good is an unloaded gun? Really, if a gun isn’t loaded it’s not a gun; it’s just a hunk of metal. It’s the lowly bullet that makes a gun a gun, got it?”

“Oh, you men like this?”

“Geez, lady, put that thing back. Why, you look as if you’re holding us up.”

“What’s the question for the day?”

“You just answered it.”

“Oh, my gun?”

“That’s right. All good and responsible citizens should be armed at all times. Protect yourself and protect the helpless, like children and animals from abuse. A gun is quite an amazing persuader.”

“For sure, which is why I carry, and so does my sister. And here comes my train. Bye. Enjoy your show.”

“Thank you. Bye. Well, that’s all the time we have for this episode of ‘Pulse of the Nation.’ Thank you for watching and so, on behalf of the crew, I’ll be wishing you all a goodnight: Goodnight.

“Good show, guys. What do you say we get out of this weather and grab ourselves a burger: my treat.”

Goodbye Cruel World” James Darren
