Judge Richard A. Posner speaking at Harvard University

(Aug. 24, 2016) — We will have our first Constitution class of the fall on Saturday, August 27th at Shiloh Steak House in Cortez, Colorado from 10am until 2pm. The fine fare of Shiloh will be available as always.

The subject for this class will be The Wisdom of Many of our Founders, Some You have Possibly Never Heard of.” We will also discuss if Secession is the only answer to the runaway tyrannical central government.

We are indeed living in strange times in this country. Ever increasing violence in the streets and a presidential race that will be very interesting before it is all over. Always remember that no matter who wins, Liberty and constitutional governance lose because at no time will the true meaning of our Constitution be discussed or debated by either candidate.

Recently, a clown in a black gown in the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, one Richard A. Posner, stated the following in a letter to a Harvard Law professor:

“And on another note about academia and practical law, I see absolutely no value to a judge of spending decades, years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes or seconds studying the Constitution, the history of its enactment, its amendments, and its implementation. Eighteenth-century guys, however smart, could not foresee the culture, technology, etc., of the 21st century. Which means that the original Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the post-Civil War Amendments (including the 14th), do not speak to today.”

Would you believe some of our founders predicted we would have idiots like this sitting on the bench? One can only assume what this clown would base his legal decisions on. Perhaps a coin-flip, an Ouija or dart board???

I am sending the good judge an email invitation to attend our class but don’t anyone hold your breath.

This member of government (judges) has proved that the power of declaring what the law is “ad libitum,” by sapping and mining, slyly, and without alarm, the foundations of the Constitution, can do what open force would not dare to attempt.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

Perhaps we can discuss the possibilities of a September picnic at this class. Maybe we could get it in sometime after Labor Day and before the snow flies.

Hope to see you there—and bring a friend!
