Army Posts Online Legal Documents in Sgt. Bergdahl Case

FORT BRAGG, N.C. – Following the May 17, 2016, instructions by Army Judge Col. Jeffery R. Nance, the U.S. Army posted online over 40 documents associated with the ongoing military-legal case of United States vs. Sgt. Robert B. Bergdahl.

The judicial documents — located at: https://www.foia.army.mil/ReadingRoom/Detail.aspx?id=103
— outline ongoing legal actions by trial counsel, defense counsel and the court (the U.S. Army Trial Judiciary at Fort Bragg, N.C.). The documents, posted May 20-23, are redacted for personal information.  These files are located on the U.S. Army Records Management and Declassification Agency Freedom of Information Act Library and will be updated as the legal case proceeds.

The next scheduled legal motions hearing for this case will be July 7-8, 2016.

Media-coverage procedures will be announced in late June, prior to the July 7 hearing’s start on Fort Bragg.
