150 & 166 DELEGATES AT STAKE, RESPECTIVELY

(Mar. 8, 2016) — The Associated Press (AP) will be reporting real-time results later this evening as they become available following primary voting in Mississippi and  Michigan for both Democrats and Republicans and Idaho and Hawaii for Republicans only.

According to the AP, Hillary Clinton has 1,134 delegates and Bernie Sanders 502 out of 2,383 required to win the party’s nomination.  For the Republicans, Donald Trump has 384 delegates, Ted Cruz 300, and Marco Rubio 151 our of 1,237 needed to win the Republican nomination.

At stake in Tuesday’s contests are 150 delegates for Republicans and 166 for Democrats.

Polls will close in Michigan at 9:00 p.m. EST.  Mississippi polls close at 7:00 p.m. local time, which is in the Central time zone.

Idaho is in the Mountain time zone, with Hawaii four hours earlier.

Primaries and caucuses have taken place in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Kentucky, Louisiana Nevada, and a host of Southern states, with North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois and Florida scheduled for March 15.
