(Feb. 22, 2016) — Don’t forget the Back The Badge rally in support of law enforcement is taking place this Saturday February 27th from 10am – 1pm at Mesa Police Headquarters which is located at 130 N. Robson in Mesa, AZ. Come join us as we stand up in support of the Mesa PD and all police officers across the country. Attending the rally is free and open to all police supporters, retired law enforcement, active law enforcement, and their families. Bring your Thin Blue Line and American flags as well as your signs in support of law enforcement. We also will have a few speakers including United States Senate candidate Dr. Kelli Ward who will be challenging Senator John McCain in the 2016 primary. Ward is expected to help us kick off the rally as well as Nate Gafvert from the Mesa Police Association. Also, we’re planning to have a motorcycle procession courtesy of EMC-AZ, the Arizona Sons Of Liberty and Riders USA so have your cameras ready to take pictures. There will also be a tailgate party after the rally as well for those that are interested so please feel free to bring a dish to share.
Due to the Phoenix Marathon happening in Mesa at the same time we advise that you get to the rally as early as possible to avoid traffic congestion. The best option to get to police headquarters is to come in from the north on the 202 to Country Club and then to University and turn South On Robson. Another route is to take Country Club to 2nd Street or 1st Street or Morris to 1st or 2nd Street to Mesa PD HQ. You can also take University to Morris and then to 2nd or 1st Street as well.
Also, due to Mesa PD HQ being in partly a residential area we ask that all those attending to be good neighbors and keep the area clean as well as the noise to a manageable level. Let’s come out strong in support of Mesa PD and the members of law enforcement all across the country. See you at the rally.
