“EAGER FOR SOME DIALOGUE”

by Dr. Tom E. Davis, Col., USA (Ret.), ©2016

(Jan. 22, 2016) — Just to clarify my position: in the very possible likelihood that Ms. Fiorina is the only conservative female candidate in the 2016 election. I will vote for her. My position is just a tad broader. I wrote a book, “America’s First Female President…2016?” in which my purpose was to shine a bright light on that curse, Gender Bias, that has afflicted our nation since the very first charter of Governance was debated, argued, agreed to and adopted by the Jamestown Colony in 1619. The entire matter was done by men who neither sought nor allowed any of the Colony’s females to speak to, suggest or sign the final adopted Charter of Governance.

Some months later, farther north, The HMS Mayflower carrying our Puritan-Pilgrim Northern Colonial forebears decided, before debarking, to write a Document of Governance. Again, though women were a prominent entity among these Christian immigrants, they were not allowed to participate in the discussion, debate or adoption and signing of the Mayflower Compact. All governmental Executive decisions, The Declaration of Independence, The Articles of Confederation, and The Constitution were and are signed solely by the males elected to executive positions. It is my humble opinion, and I have no need to be humble, since I am 91 years of age and served this nation faithfully in various ranks or Grades for nearly 42 years.

Alice Paul, one of the leading Suffragettes, spent her entire life in the cause of American womanhood. She was the guiding light in getting the XIXth Amendment enacted into law. She realized that simply having the vote was not sufficient. She earned THREE graduate degrees in the Law, a BLL, A MLL and a Doctorate on Canon Law. She personally wrote the ERA and shepherded it through Congress, only to see it fall three states short in the ratification process; this latter was due mainly, if not exclusively, to one wrong-headed female, Phyllis Schlafly, whose sole argument really amounted to ”They have the vote; what more do they need?”

There are today in this nation nearly 320 million souls, of which MORE than half are females. They are possessed of character, knowledge, qualities and characteristics, hardwired into their cerebral cortex unmatched by any male in existence. Read Alexia Park’s fine booklet, “Ten Traits of Women of Power and Courage” to learn what women are capable of accomplishing.

  1. I would suggest that Michele Bachmann, Condoleezza Rice, Sarah Palin, Pamela Jo Bondi, Cynthia Lummis, Megyn Kelly, Martha McSally, Greta Van Susteren or any two of 100,000 other equally qualified American Ladies are more than capable of doing a magnificent job as President and/or Vice President of this God-inspired Republic.
  2. I cannot do the job; ladies, you MUST get organized to change the tenor of our system to include YOU as equals or better as superiors. I am eager for some dialogue!
