“IF THE ESTABLISHMENT WINS, AMERICA LOSES”

by Don Fredrick, ©2015, blogging at The Complete Obama Timeline

Donald Trump’s campaign slogan is “Make America great again!”

(Dec. 11, 2015) — The better question may be, “What is Donald Trump?” The answer: A giant middle finger from average Americans to the political and media establishment.

Some Trump supporters are like the 60s white girls who dated black guys just to annoy their parents. But most Trump supporters have simply had it with the Demosocialists and the “Republicans in Name Only.” They know there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between Hillary Rodham and Jeb Bush, and only a few cents worth between Rodham and the other GOP candidates. Ben Carson is not an “establishment” candidate, but the Clinton machine would pulverize Carson, and the somewhat rebellious Ted Cruz will (justifiably so) be tied up with natural born citizen lawsuits (as might Marco Rubio). The Trump supporters figure they may as well have some fun tossing Molotov cocktails at Wall Street and Georgetown while they watch the nation collapse. Besides, lightning might strike, Trump might get elected, and he might actually fix a few things. Stranger things have happened. (The nation elected a Marxist in 2008 and Bruce Jenner now wears designer dresses.)

Millions of conservatives are justifiably furious. They gave the Republicans control of the House in 2010 and control of the Senate in 2014 and have seen them govern no differently than Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Yet those same voters are supposed to trust the GOP in 2016? Why? Trump did not come from out of nowhere. His candidacy was created by the last six years of Republican failures.

No reasonable person can believe that any of the establishment candidates will slash federal spending, rein in the Federal Reserve, cut burdensome business regulations, reform the tax code, or eliminate useless federal departments (the Departments of Education, Housing and Urban Development, Energy, etc.). Even Ronald Reagan was unable to eliminate the Department of Education. (Of course, getting shot at tends to make a person less of a risk-taker.) No reasonable person can believe that any of the nation’s major problems will be solved by Rodham, Bush, and the other dishers of donkey fazoo now eagerly eating corn in Iowa and pancakes in New Hampshire.

Many Americans, and especially Trump supporters, have had it with:

Anyone named Bush

Anyone named Clinton

Anyone who’s held political office

Political correctness

Illegal immigration

Massive unemployment

Phony “official” unemployment and inflation figures

Welfare waste and fraud

People faking disabilities to go on the dole

VA waiting lists

TSA airport groping

ObamaCare

The Federal Reserve’s money-printing schemes

Wall Street crooks like Jon Corzine

Michelle Obama’s vacations

Michelle Obama’s food police

Barack Obama’s golf

Barack Obama’s arrogant and condescending lectures

Barack Obama’s criticism/hatred of America

Valerie Jarrett

“Holiday trees”

Hollywood hypocrites

Global warming nonsense

Cop killers

Gun confiscation threats

Stagnant wages

Chevy Volts

Clock boy

Pajama boy

Mattress girl

Boys in girls’ bathrooms

Whiny, spoiled college students who can’t even place the Civil War in the correct century

…and that’s just the short list.

Trump supporters believe that no Democrat wants to address these issues, and that few Republicans have the courage to address these issues. They certainly know that none of the establishment candidates are better than barely listening to them, and Trump is their way of saying, “Screw you, Hillary Rodham Rove Bush!” The more the talking head political pundits insult the Trump supporters, the more supporters he gains. (The only pundits who seem to understand what is going on are Democrats Doug Schoen and Pat Caddell and Republican John LeBoutillier. All the others argue that the voters will eventually “come to their senses” and support an establishment candidate.)

But America does not need a tune-up at the same old garage. It needs a new engine installed by experts—and neither Rodham nor Bush are mechanics with the skills or experience to install it. Hillary Rodham is not a mechanic; she merely manages a garage her philandering husband abandoned. Jeb Bush is not a mechanic; he merely inherited a garage. Granted, Trump is also not a mechanic, but he knows where to find the best ones to work in his garage. He won’t hire his brother-in-law or someone to whom he owes a favor; he will hire someone who lives and breathes cars.

“How dare they revolt!” the “elites” are bellowing. Well, the citizens are daring to revolt, and the RINOs had better get used to it. “But Trump will hand the election to Clinton!” That is what the Karl Rove-types want people to believe, just as the leftist media eagerly shoved “Maverick” McCain down GOP throats in 2008—knowing he would lose to Obama. But even if Trump loses and Rodham wins, she would not be dramatically different than Bush or most of his fellow candidates. They would be nothing more than caretakers, not working to restore America’s greatness but merely presiding over the collapse of a massively in-debt nation. A nation can perhaps survive open borders; a nation can perhaps survive a generous welfare system. But no nation can survive both—and there is little evidence that the establishment candidates of either party understand that. The United States cannot forever continue on the path it is on. At some point it will be destroyed by its debt.

Yes, Trump speaks like a bull wanders through a china shop, but the truth is that the borders do need to be sealed; we cannot afford to feed, house, and clothe 200,000 Syrian immigrants for decades (even if we get inordinately lucky and none of them are ISIS infiltrators or Syed Farook wannabes); the world is at war with radical Islamists; all the world’s glaciers are not melting; and Rosie O’Donnell is a fat pig.

Is Trump the perfect candidate? Of course not. Neither was Ronald Reagan. But unless we close our borders and restrict immigration, all the other issues are irrelevant. One terrorist blowing up a bridge or a tunnel could kill thousands. One jihadist poisoning a city’s water supply could kill tens of thousands. One electromagnetic pulse attack from a single Iranian nuclear device could kill tens of millions. Faced with those possibilities, most Americans probably don’t care that Trump relied on eminent domain to grab up a final quarter acre of property for a hotel, or that he boils the blood of the Muslim Brotherhood thugs running the Council on American-Islamic Relations. While Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s greatest fear is someone giving a Muslim a dirty look, most Americans are more worried about being gunned down at a shopping mall by a crazed lunatic who treats his prayer mat better than his three wives and who thinks 72 virgins are waiting for him in paradise.

The establishment is frightened to death that Trump will win, but not because they believe he will harm the nation. They are afraid he will upset their taxpayer-subsidized apple carts. While Obama threatens to veto legislation that spends too little, they worry that Trump will veto legislation that spends too much. You can be certain that if an establishment candidate wins in November 2016, his or her cabinet positions will be filled with the same people we’ve seen before. The washed-up has-beens of the Clinton and Bush administrations will be back in charge. The hacks from Goldman Sachs will continue to call the shots. Whether it is Bush’s Karl Rove or Clinton’s John Podesta who makes the decisions in the White House will matter little. If the establishment wins, America loses.

  1. Donald Trump is the best choice for our country at this time. If it isn’t him we are no longer going to be a free America. We will be slaves to the government, the very people WE pay to run the country for us. To those who say Mr Trump does not have the experience or is not eligible, need to go back and read the requirements again. You have to be an American! That’s all! Farmers, black smiths, whatever your career is doesn’t matter. But in this case Trump understands economy and our country needs someone like that to fix it. I and many others are sick of sneaky lawyers who manipulate everything to benefit them and cheat the American people. Wake up and if you don’t know the real facts and requirements about being an American president just keep quiet. I pray Trump wins and I have a feeling he will because he has the highest authority behind him, Our all knowing Lord! Our modern day David. Pray about it and God will open your eyes if you ask and believe. God Bless America!

  2. I’ve been saying this for months and am befuddled that my conservative friends have a different take on what a President should be. Do we honestly care what the label is? Conservative…Liberal…it’s all a bunch of malarky!

The party of this country is ‘AMERICAN’ made up of Constitution abiding, military supportive, hard working, informed citizens.
    Did I forget ‘God loving’?

The ‘American Party’ must come to it’s senses that Obama hates America, loves Muslims,(he’s thrown Israel under the bus) does what he pleases (citizens be damned), and is taking as many vacations as he can before he leaves office to show his wife and daughters (and their friends)the world…. at our expense.

When the ‘American Party’ realizes that Trump runs a tight ship in his successful businesses and can and will surround himself with those who get the job done…..they’ll support Trump-Time.

Reagan was an actor. He filled his cabinet with brilliant men…not Republicans or Democrats… AMERICANS.

I’m 68 years old ..a hippie of the 60’s till I grew up.
Nothing defines me and my love of this country better than being called AMERICAN. It’s my party of choice.

  3. There have been a number of very good questions posed on this blog. However, I must ask: which candidate has laid out the specifics of every thing they would do, as President – ANYONE? As a wise battle strategist once said: “No battle plan survives contact with the enemy”.

Can anyone describe all the issues that will arise in the next 4 or 8 years, ANYONE?

  4. The article tells it like it is and Donald Trump is the spokesman.
The establishment by opposing Trump is helping him get elected and
so is the media. They would be more effective if they weren’t so
    obviously bias.

  5. “Little Marco Rubio”? Ted Cruz has the biggest ears Trump has ever seen and sweats too much? Am I listening to a bunch of first graders in the schoolyard or a candidate for President of the US? I think the article did nail all the reasons voters are turning to Trump, but can’t we even increase the level of discourse to, say, middle school level? Grow up Donald.

  6. Decades of being stiff-armed by the elites, Dems, Repubs and media have resulted in a revolt of those who are tired of the disenfranchisement. The cabal needs to be taken down, and perhaps TRUMP will do it for us. Many of his positions vary and are not pure conservative. At this point, I do not care if I have a 20# or 30# right or left handed sledgehammer, nor do I care what happens to the shattered debris. Level the corrupticrats homes and rebuild. Feelings like these are why no attack on TRUMP will have traction with his supporters, but may only increase the commitment to his candidacy.

  7. At yesterday’s Hannity show, it became clear to me that Trump’s clinical narcissism grows over into obvious schizophrenia. It was impossible to watch and listen. I turned off the TV. I know one thing – I will be ashamed for America if this face represents her. To the mob who thinks he is a saviour, I want them to give me just one example that substantiates their choice. Except for one – he managed to create his own personal wealth by building, in conjunction with mafia, casinos where people get robbed and adjoining to them hotels. Why his business experience is praised so much? Has anybody of them worked under Trump? His favored phrase is “You are fired” and he enjoys saying it. Is there a known to everybody good book that analyzes his business experience? And, after all, what does the business experience have to do with the art of governing America? Why does such an unknown but obviously sick horse suddenly becomes a favorite?
Fixing America is an extremely difficult task having democrats as part of the government. Democrats have always pulled our country downward into the abyss. The first thing that must be made clear for all Americans that socialist philosophy and agenda that Democrats represent is extremely harmful for America. The democratic agenda, therefore, should not have a place in all areas of the Government. The problems facing America is not easy easy to fix even if you have Republicans at the helm. A strategy is needed to reverse downward American course. Here are the important things that should be among first priority list:
    1. Rebuild the American democracy system. We know, the ancient philosophers told us that democracy is killing itself by allowing ignorant masses to rule the country. It should be changed. There should be some tests that prove that you are not an idiot for granting you the voting rights. You should taxes to have the vote. Everything that is happening now happens just because we gave too much rights to the ignorant mob.
    2. Rebuild the education of the country. Take the colleges back from liberals and have the teaching staff educating our youth instead of politically brainwashing them.
    3. Fix the economy. This is the most difficult part, nobody knows exactly how, but at least not to do obviously harmful things. We need a republican at the helm for that to be possible. Not RINO. Trump is not even a RINO.
    4. Destroy the congress, this nest of corruption, and build something new, a new congress, in its place.
Even if plans are agreed upon, we need somebody very courageous (as somebody already said) and persistent in pursuing this agenda. But before such a man found, we at least need people who would not be ruining this country further.

    1. The Post & Email does not endorse nor disparage any candidate for political reasons, although we do research and report on corruption and questions of constitutional eligibility. Is there hard evidence that Trump is involved with the Mafia?

  8. I agree that this is a insightful article. But, I think it misses the central question, “who is Donald Trump” when it comes to fixing the nations problems. Donald would have to sell the nation a clear vision before he can get back on course. The main question, is “What does he really believe is true at this point in his life?” Then add the weight of trying to make these changes through many people who have a completely different world view? I had a company for 35 years employing over 100. Because I had started it, funded it, and spent and enormous amount of time thinking about it, I was an expert in my field. I did not depend on outside thinking very much to make it successful. I ran it with basically no input from the competition. IE. Dems and Reps. What I do know is that Trump is a marketer and does very much with an exceedingly simple message. If he has the right message, I think he could move the nation without spending very much. His intolerance of opposing views shows up in every discussion. This looks like he will attempt to run things like a king vs. a democracy, the same as Obama. If he does, he will run into the same brick wall that Obama did and will be forced to take lots of “Executive” action. Bernie Sanders is openly crying for a revolution. In the same way, Trump followers, while not calling it a revolution, are asking for one. Unfortunately, Obama promised change and the majority voted in this change without being sure of what his deep beliefs and long term agenda were. I could not comprehend Obama being voted in a second term. It was then that I concluded I was out of touch with this nations majority. Yet I continued to disbelieve the magnitude of our nations liberal voters. Liberal candidates continue to buy votes with the promise of free fish. The majority continue to believe they deserve “Equality” without paying the price of those that make money.” They have concluded it is truly better to give fish than to teach a person to fish. Our Constitution is not suited to giving fish as a lifestyle. If we do, it will kill the current fishermen that make the jobs or will force them off shore or out of business. This majority does not understand that I never hired a single person to try and feed his family. In all cases I tried to make a profit with the investment. I do not know any business man or women that hired for any other reason. It is these same masses and their thinking that is wrecking the entrepreneurial engine that made us formidable in the past. They grew up in comfort with out pain. One thing I think is true, if Trump is a Christian, he has not developed a public image of one who turns the other cheek, or apologizes when wrong, or is known for his kindness. I think Regan did. If he really is a change agent for the intent of the Constitution he will be as great as his ability to sell the liberal majority on his direction and the quality of the legislation he can get passed. But, what if he is merely looking for another trophy for his mantle. My hope is that he has had enough trophies. But do we really know where his heart is? Regardless, if our only choice is Hillary or Donald, it is Donald every time. But, then there is that majority of voters who have had our college “education” and bought into the Hollywood establishment’s liberal “truth”, and honestly believe their is no long term consequence to life time “free fish”. It might just take a reset to determine our future, IE. a Middle East war which includes Russia, or a global economic collapse. These are desperate times and much will rest on the shoulders of our next president. Pray for him or her.

  9. I cannot believe that this country, the greatest on earth, is reduced to picking between a lying political hack and an insulting, narcissistic Billionaire for our country’s highest office. He has not put forward any workable ideas in the debates, instead choosing to attack his opponents’ looks, demeanor, attitudes, etc. This low-road campaign has earned him a pass on the discussion of important domestic and foreign policy issues. Building the world’s biggest wall on our border, is not a serious solution to the immigration mess. Trump is a fool, and he has duped a significant number of voters with his “Art of the Con”!

  10. What a great article and thats exactly why I am supporting Donald Trump. I voted for Obama and can never ever vote for Hillary and Bill Clinton. The Donald is bringing the ‘Old Guard” Republican Party to their knees and rightfully so. They have had control of both the senate and congress and have done NOTHING but continue to play politics and to milk the American Public. Perfect example is that scum bucket Mitch McConnell.
    Thank you

  11. If they read Trump’s last book Crippled America, conservatives will elect Trump. His best seller The Art of The Deal was very entertaining and some chapters were awesome!

If he fires the dead weight bureaucrats in our Marxist government, he will go down in history as our greatest president ever. Can’t see any other candidate with the required guts to save the country. Everyone loves Abe Lincoln because he saved the union, but if Trump is not given the chance to save it now, we are lost. I hope he wears a bullet proof vest.

  12. Are you kidding Lindsay?

” Rather, I am very afraid for our country to have a person with such a caustic and rude personality in the office of the President of The United States. I cannot imagine him in negotiations with other leaders.”

Do you really think negotiators are using the possible most polite language while discussing a deal? Hell no!

I’d like to see Trump as president but I am also worried for his life.

  13. I disagree with one important point with this article. I am not afraid of Trump “upsetting their taxpayer apple cart” as was said in the article.
Rather, I am very afraid for our country to have a person with such a caustic and rude personality in the office of the President of The United States. I cannot imagine him in negotiations with other leaders. I cannot imagine him in reconciliation talks with anyone. I have yet to hear of any foreign policy experience that Donald Trump has had.
My only hope is that a far more capable nominee is still going to come forward.

  14. I don’t expect Trump to have all the answers, but I do believe he is a perfectionist, and will not stop until he finds the right person for the job at hand. If someone is NOT doing their job, or doing it poorly…their head will roll. They won’t just stay on the government payroll until retirement as things seem to play out all over the political landscape.

He set aside his personal life to do this, not for any real personal gain, because he has Everything anyone could ever dream of. He sees America going down the tubes, and because nothing ever really happens that benefits America. Even I have seen that our powers-that-be make the dumbest deals anyone could dream up.

A person that decides early in Life they want to be a politician…means they want to work little, (aka not have a real job) make a lot of money (lobbyists and sit on boards), and spend all of their time just trying to get re-elected.

My Dad was a Veteran…a Pearl Harbor Survivor, I have been a flag waving American since the time I could walk and talk. What has happened since Obama took office, especially, has turned America into something I don’t even recognize anymore.

Godspeed Donald Trump!! Blow the roof off Washington, D.C.

  15. Thank the Almighty for a good down to earth article reflecting the situation the world suffers today. A person has emerged who speaks straight from the shoulder, who is saying what so many people think and feel but prefer to converse in private or remain silent. Donald Trump speaks his mind in a bellicose-challenging style which appeals to a generation weary of platitudes and leadership hesitating to respond to reality. People in established offices often discover a need for language restraint while they explain their values.
Don Frederick has written in lucid terms of his namesake in terms of what true leadership demands.

  16. Wow, someone has been watching ALL the news. Talk about nailing it and exactly why voters from “both sides of the isle” have had enough of this dangerous political correctness that’s trying to overthrow our freedom of speech, one that Trump now holds up by its neck to squeeze the life out of it along with the pariahs that have created it.

And what is going on over at FOX News, as they continue to try to trash Trump, two reporters within one day of Trump’s South Carolina victory asking Trump point blank, “Is it time for you to look presidential?”

Maybe instead it’s time to expose FOX News for its agenda, as documented on my Web page “Dead in the Water” put up several years ago and then updated now and then.

    http://www.freedomisknowledge.com/deadinthewater.html

I also saw today where Cavuto allowed Romney to use his FOX business show to say on a call-in that Trump has yet to file his tax return and that is where THERE COULD BE A BOMBSHELL?

    There could be, Mitt baby?

The bombshell still remains that it was Obama who bombed-out the coward Romney in the debates four years ago, Romney back then looking like a little chicken running around the barnyard chased by the community organizer rooster.

And don’t forget Romney’s VP was Paul Ryan. OMG, what would have happened if Ryan had been America’s VP, now that we have seen his “establishment” colors.

Isn’t it amazing what we discover from these RINOs as time goes by, exposing their real self-serving agendas where they act more like progressives every year. Like I told my wife way back on the day of the November 2008 elections, “Which Democrat do we vote for, Obama or McCain?

  17. BOOM…………YOU NAILED IT……….Glad there are other clear thinking Americans who really care. Excellent, keep writing the truth and spreading the message.

  18. Outstanding article. You tick all the right boxes! Phyllis Schlafly’s updated book, A Choice Not an Echo, reviews these same tactics from earlier elections. She correctly said lobbyists and “nonprofit” CEO’s like Karl Rove and Rience Priebus don’t really care which party actually gets into these seats, just so long as their donations keep rolling in. They abandoned conserative pro-life candidates in two key states and allowed liberal pro-abortion candidates to get elected. I can’t stand the sight of either of them. I have not given a dime to the RNC since Republicans held all the cards and still couldn’t stop spending other people’s money!

  19. Thank You for this excellent..NO, OUTSTANDING!!…column.
    You Nailed It…a pure Ten.
The first to put in one articld ALL of whats wrong with congress and the executive branch.
The only omission is with regard to the awful politicization of the justice department, specifically: Holder’s sincul record of racial bias and polarization;the current Slow Roll imposed on Comey re the Shrillary Emails investigation; the absence of focus on the Chicago/Emanuel Dashcamera vjdeo scam; etc, etc.
    Thanks again.
    Best regards
    Gino
