OPPOSING VIEWPOINT OR COURT JESTER?

by OPOVV, ©2015

(Jul. 28, 2015) — On Monday, the 27th of July, Geraldo Rivera put a size 14-double-wide shoe in his mouth and spent the rest of his time on “The Five” rolling around on the floor choking on it. Governor Huckabee made the statement that Iran, because of the horrible, one-sided ‘nuclear non-deal,’ plans to wreak another Holocaust upon the world, but this time including anyone else who doesn’t buy into their brand of group insanity instead of focusing on the Jews alone.

Geraldo begged the governor to apologize. Huckabee refused to back down, saying that perhaps it would be in Geraldo’s and everyone else’s best interest to pay attention when the Ayatollah of Iran chants, “Death to Israel! Death to America!”

This writer understands why some shows have clowns on. We are clear on having an opposing side expressed. We are not quite clear on having a midget on just so people can laugh and point at him for being the Court Jester. We are using the word “midget” not to express “height-challenged,” but “mentally challenged.”

But perhaps that’s the producer’s game plan: to have someone on the panel so blatantly inferior to the others as to be the laughingstock of television personalities. Now if that is indeed the case, then we should call the show “Four and a Half Brains” instead of “The Five” whenever Geraldo is a guest.

  1. My friend went to high school with Geraldo and he demanded to be considered Jewish. When he left high school and it was advantageous to be considered Puerto Rican he used that label. On the broadcast noted above he said “as a Jew”, which was probably news to many because he always played the Puerto Rican card.

The upshot is that Geraldo is a total fraud and user.
