PROMINENT “JOURNALIST” TAKES ACTIVE ROLE IN SHAPING PUBLIC OPINION; FAILS TO OBJECTIVELY REPORT FACTS

Beginning on April 25, riots, destruction of businesses and other private property ensued in West Baltimore allegedly over the April 18 death of Freddie Gray, a black man taken into police custody on April 12. On Friday evening, Fox News reported that a toxicology report shows that Gray had heroin and marijuana in his system when he died.

(May 3, 2015) — [This editorial references the reporting by a well-known employee of a national television broadcasting company covering Baltimore on the night of May 2, 2015.]

A statement by a reporter on national television Saturday night was perhaps the most irresponsible reporting in the history of reporting. The statement was: “Which of the six cops murdered Freddie Gray?”

That statement automatically rules out any possible previous medical condition and/or self-inflicted wounds that may have contributed to Gray’s death. Furthermore, the statement ignored the toxicology report that Gray had evidence of marijuana and heroin in his blood. One can make a reasonable assumption that the marijuana got in his blood because Gray smoked a joint. The report did not explain how the heroin entered his blood: was it by injection or, while running from the police, did Gray ingest packets of heroin in an attempt to hide the evidence that he was dealing drugs?

Did the drugs cause a seizure? Did the drugs contribute, in any way, to his death? Was Gray in a fight with someone else (other than the police) that morning or the night before? Did Gray have any medical condition that may have contributed to the cause of death, such as asthma? Did Gray undergo an operation of any kind previously? When was his last physical? Was his nutrition suspect? Was he hyper? Was he nuts?

As if the statement, “Which of the six cops murdered Gray?” wasn’t enough, the reporter goes on to suggest that “perhaps the cops got together to get their story straight.” Maybe there is no story to get straight. Maybe the cops didn’t do anything to Gray. That’s what we have courts for, to get at the truth. This reporter sure isn’t helping matters by convicting the cops on national television, although he says he’s on the side of the cops.

This reporter is just hyper-inflating his own weak ego by trying to get people to believe he has the answers when no one else does. Very poor reporting. There’s enough out there that we surely don’t need someone who isn’t very smart reaching conclusions when there’s nothing but his own make-believe weak suppositions. I’m not buying into his hype, and I hope no one else is either.

  1. Any intelligent thinking person would not buy into the extremely unprofessional hype. Unfortunately, there are many drones running around loose out there who can’t think. All they can do is follow their emotions, which folly the government propaganda arm ie the mainstream media utilizes to the utmost.

Many people, including the MSM “personalities” live in a bubble. They can’t even conceive that their reality is orchestrated FOR them by “others.” Others who THINK they know best. OR others who purposely (and in my opinion most of these “others” fall into this category) deceive for personal gain. Of one kind or another.

I wonder how many people understand that we are actually living out a very elaborate soap opera? Albeit a very deadly soap opera. Kinda makes you wonder who’s watching, eh?

There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who want to be left alone and those who won’t leave people alone. Which kind do you think runs the world?
