“CHAOS IS ENGULFING OUR WORLD”

(Apr. 5, 2015) — Writers, as every other performer, bask in recognition. Here at The Post & Email News, there are a number of milestones for which to strive.

The beginning hurdle is, of course, to get posted in the first place. A correction note from the editor is as if the nun just smacked your hand with a ruler for the high crime of a run-on sentence, or as is sometimes in my case, “Can you possibly ‘tone it down a notch?’”

Getting on the blog as one of the writers is indeed a thrill, but that thrill is multiplied tenfold if it’s classified as a “pb” (pro bono/free). Now the writer’s talents are all of a sudden enjoyed by a multitude of people who haven’t yet understood the benefits of paying a little bit for a lot of news and commentary. Maybe they will after reading a “pb.”

The next great “pat on the back” is when another political blog runs the editorial. Wow! Now the readership has jumped by leaps and bounds.

But the most pride a writer gets, besides from being posted in the first place, is when the editor writes back, “This is a good one.” Party time! All of us need encouragement from time to time: if there is too much praise, then it becomes meaningless; if too little, then whenever praise does come down the pike, it is also meaningless.

So I made a chart of the “awards” a writer receives for writing an editorial.

Posted: A

Posted with a “pb”: A+

Posted and picked-up by other blogs: A++ (and each additional blog another “+” is added.)

The Academy Award, however, doesn’t come around often, but when it does, it is the biggest thrill of them all, and that’s when a reader requests permission to submit the editorial to his local newspaper.

And that’s actually happened to me a couple of times, surely read by the readers of a newspaper who wouldn’t, in all likelihood, have been exposed to my writings in the first place or known about The Post & Email News, for that matter.

Now that’s all well and good, us writers getting read, but let’s all just take a step back and view the whole situation as if we’re on the ISS looking down upon the chaos that is engulfing our world. If it weren’t for Obama, there would be no reason for these articles in the first place. I would’ve written my “Great American Novel” and maybe caught a trophy Muskie in Minnesota.

There are just a finite number of subjects which deserve our scrutiny, but the most important (by a factor of a googolplex) is our, our children’s and our country’s longevity: our necks are on the line, folks.

You have to wonder if anyone is paying attention. We have the gay crowd getting bent out of shape because of the same-sex “marriage” nonsense (what, Civil Union wasn’t good enough?), marching and making all kinds of noise, but they ignore the deadly threat that lurks in the White House:  an Islamic terrorist biding his time in which to round up the gay crowd and hang them all.

We warn, cajole, plead, and inform, and what is the result? We are completely ignored by the very people who should be paying the most attention; the Obots, union members, Hollywood, mainstream media*, and all the others who still believe that the Democratic Party hasn’t morphed into the Communist Party.

We writers and our editor do our best to inform, but it looks as if it’s all come to naught. Obama and other government employees continue to steal from the American people with (seemingly) impunity: Lois Lerner isn’t in jail, and the VA employees who are directly responsible for the deaths of more than a few Veterans are still cashing their paychecks and collecting bonuses; the Rules of Engagement for our troops overseas still favor the enemy; the Federal Reserve continues to resist audits; the IRS is still in the business of unlawfully collecting money; the Death Tax hasn’t been repealed; the illegal immigrants haven‘t been deported; and the DHS continues to import thousands of Muslims into our country every day.

So this I ask, really now: how obvious does it have to get until, as my VP, the late Larry Meyer used to write, the “sheeple” get it? How many billions have to be stolen, used for kickbacks, payoffs and bribes? How many Fort Hoods? How many Americans beheaded? How many of us have to be MURDERED?
