Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to express my deep concern for Saudi prisoner Raif Badawi, who was lashed 50 times and barely survived after his arrest for launching a blog about religious freedom in Saudi Arabia.

Great countries do not treat any prisoner in this way, nor do they interfere with a person’s right to freely discuss issues of the day. Around the world, we are seeing increased oppression, torture, murder, and imprisonment for those exercising the practice of their religion or their God-given right to free speech.
The stonings, lynchings, and mistreatment of prisoners for any reason by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are reprehensible, nauseating, barbaric and criminal.
I urge you to free Mr. Badawi immediately and allow him to reunite with his young family.
