LOSS OF A FRIEND AND PATRIOT…

(Jan. 30, 2015) — Morris Patriots offers our prayers and sympathy to the family and friends of Dan Haggerty, who passed away unexpectedly, January 26th.
We have held back on speaking of his passing until we could provide accurate information.
Daniel Haggerty, 64, born January 17, 1951 in Cambridge, MA, passed away January 26, 2015 in Randolph, NJ, where he has lived for 13 years. He was a loving husband and man of faith. His life was spent in New York growing up and California and New Jersey working as an Architect, specializing in fiberglass/plastics.
He served in the United States Air Force working on F-111’s, and continued this passion for flying as a pilot. He was an avid sailboat racer, always striving to win. Dan, most of all, worked tirelessly with many groups to uphold the Constitution, being a true American Patriot.
Dan is survived by his wife Julie, father USMC Major Robert Haggerty, sister, Nancy and brothers, Robert and Thomas Haggerty.
Funeral Arrangements
A Memorial Mass will be held on January 31, 2015 at 1:00pm at the St. Matthew the Apostle Parish, 335 Dover Chester Road, Randolph, NJ 07869.

I remember…
Dan was a friend of mine. Like so many, we first met in 2009, and from the start, Dan was unique. He would go where no one else had gone, challenging all those who would discard the Constitution. Dan hated corruption, and fought tirelessly to oppose those who would call America anything but exceptional.
He never sought the limelight, preferring to work behind the scenes. Those of us who knew him knew of the many projects he pursued.
Dan offered his time to any who had need. He would videotape and edit dozens of programs and situations, often posting to YouTube. I recall working with Dan at one of many state hearings – a room packed with citizens, but one where he could always find a camera angle. Jack Cashill describes the scene at Montclair, lens to the face of a terrorist.
We will miss Dan, but hold tight to the honor he portrayed, working tirelessly to defend America against its enemies, foreign and domestic.
He took an oath to support and defend the Constitution when he served in the Air Force, and never forgot that pledge. His passing was a shock to all of us. It’s up to us to carry on his work.
We stand mutually pledged to keep the republic as the “more perfect union” crafted in Philadelphia in 1776. Dan: keep an eye on us as we continue the fight. “May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious unto you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Num 6:22-26
