NYT:  OBAMA “REMOVED” HIM

by Sharon Rondeau

Chuck Hagel, a former U.S. senator, served less than two years as Defense Secretary under Obama effective on Monday, November 24, 2014

(Nov. 24, 2014) — After less than two years in the position, putative Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel tendered his resignation from the Obama regime on Monday, according to USA Today and other mainstream media outlets.

The resignation reportedly stemmed from “the new threat posed by the Islamic State” and Hagel’s interactions with “the rest of Obama’s national security team.”

The Portland Press Herald reported that “Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is stepping down under pressure from President Barack Obama’s Cabinet, senior administration officials said Monday, following a tenure in which he has struggled to break through the White House’s insular foreign policy team.”

U.S. News & World Report stated that an unnamed official not authorized to make public disclosures related that “both Habel [sic] and Obama “determined that it was time for new leadership in the Pentagon.”

The New York Times reported that Hagel resigned “under pressure” and said that Obama “removed” him from his post, citing the need for “a different kind of focus” than that which Hagel possessed at the time he was contentiously confirmed by the U.S. Senate early last year.

USA Today wrote that Hagel would “make the announcement himself,” while other mainstream reports said that Obama would announce it sometime on Monday in the Rose Garden.  Obama “made the decision to ask his defense secretary — the sole Republican on his national security team — to step down last Friday after a series of meetings over the past two weeks,” reported The Times, quoting “senior administration officials.”

While Obama had characterized the Islamic State, also known as ISIL or ISIS, as a “junior varsity team,” Hagel had described ISIS as an “imminent threat to every interest we have.”  An Islamic terrorist group known for its torture and butchery throughout Iraq and Syria, ISIS has slaughtered thousands of ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq and driven out the Iraqi Army from major cities and towns.  ISIS fighters have captured women and children and sold them or held them as slaves in Iraq and Syria.

An ISIS online English-language magazine praises Allah and invokes Sharia law to justify the practice of slavery.  Obama has said that “ISIL speaks for no religion.”

In the magazine, ISIS refers to the U.S. as “a crusader” and tells it, “You fight a people who can never be defeated” (page 7, right).  On page 27, ISIS refers to itself as “the soldiers of Allah.”  It boasts of its murders of Iraqi soldiers in its attacks on military bases, referring to the dead as “apostates” (Warning:  Very graphic, not for children).

In discussing its alleged justification for annihilating the Yazidis, ISIS states on page 14:

Their creed is so deviant from the truth that even cross-worshipping [sic] Christians for ages considered them devil worshippers [sic] and Satanists, as is recorded in accounts of Westerners and Orientalists who encountered them or studied them. It is ultimately ironic that Obama sites [sic] these devil worshippers as the main cause for his intervention in Iraq and Shām, as he sides with the peshmerga – gangs of mercenaries related to the Marxist PUK and allied with the Marxist PKK – a “terrorist” organization according to the tāghūt laws the West “believes” in.

ISIS states that the Yazidis are heretics and can therefore be enslaved, although in a footnote, it admits that there is disagreement over the practice.  On page 17, the terrorists say that enslavement is justified under Shariah law.

The enslaved Yazidi families are now sold by the Islamic State soldiers as the mushrikīn were sold by the Companions (radiyallāhu ‘anhum) before them. Many well-known rulings are observed, including the prohibition of separating a mother from her young children. Many of the mushrik women and children have willingly accepted Islam and now race to practice it with evident sincerity after their exit from the darkness of shirk.

One of the purposes of taking slaves is to multiply ISIS’s numbers, according to the magazine.

ISIS is a Sunni Muslim sect, and many believe that Obama is also a Sunni Muslim, not a Christian, as Obama has claimed.  An increase in crimes committed in the name of Allah on U.S. soil have increased while Obama has occupied the Oval Office, and the numbers of people permitted to immigrate to the U.S. from Muslim countries have risen based on alleged “humanitarian concerns” or U.S. “national interest.”

In August, Obama ordered air strikes against ISIL compounds and assets.

Update, 12:55 p.m. EST:  A statement issued via email by House Armed Services Committee Chairman Buck McKeon in response to Hagel’s departure reads:

Washington, D.C. – House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-CA) made the following statement regarding Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.

“Chuck Hagel was an excellent Defense Secretary, and a friend. He was given a thankless task of an underfunded Defense Department, growing threats, and intrusive White House micromanagement.

“Even with the cards stacked against him, he led the Department with efficiency and aplomb. I’m especially grateful for his close coordination with Congress, and his insistence on putting the troops first.

“The Obama Administration is now in the market for their 4th Secretary of Defense. When the President goes through three Secretaries, he should ask ‘is it them, or is it me?'”
