IS AMERICA “A WAR ZONE?”

(Jun. 19, 2014) — NDAA Resistance:

A few months ago, we posted a picture of a packed county meeting in the northeast part of the country. It turns out that picture was from later, as part of the County attorney’s report we just received showed us. Over 300 people attended that meeting, tripling our record at any city or county meeting, ever.

This week, the Resistance attended city council meetings in Alaska, Massachusetts, and Florida. We are consistently holding at 500,000 – 1 Million reached on Facebook per week. We recently took another city in Massachusetts. It’s a good time to be in the Resistance.

Top State Department Official claims President Has NDAA Authority under the U.S. Constitution

This is why we cannot just go after the detention provisions of the 2012 NDAA, and we must tackle the laws of war. On May 21st, State Department Deputy Legal Adviser Mary McLeod was asked by a Senate committee whether or not they could repeal the 2001 Authorization For Use of Military Force (which is the backbone of the NDAA), and what danger the nation would be in if they repealed it.

She answered that the President had all the authority necessary under the Constitution, so repealing the AUMF wouldn’t do anything.

Indiana Sheriff Claims America is a “War Zone”

Pulaski County Sheriff Michael Gayer was recently interviewed by the Indy Star about his Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (MRAP). According to the Sheriff, the reason his department needs one is because America is a “war zone,” and they need something “more intimidating than a Dodge.

Across America, Police Departments Are Quietly Preparing for War

Under the pretense of “domestic terrorism,” police departments across America have been acquiring used military vehicles since 2002.  A comprehensive list was recently put together by the New York Times, and the numbers are increasing.  If the NDAA comes to your town, it seems even the local police won’t be showing up with a Dodge.

Worcester, MA, violates its Constitutional Oath.

Worcester, MA, was challenged a few days ago to stand up to the NDAA. They chose to ignore the people and their Constitutional oath, and vote down the Restoring Constitutional Governance Resolution, as Chris Maider is the Worcester Herald reports. The council also seems to think this will make us go away.

They have much to learn.
