The Modern-Day Saboteurs

WERE FEARS OF COMMUNISM IN THE U.S. WELL-FOUNDED?

by Sharon Rondeau

Wilhelm Canaris worked as a double agent both as the head of Hitler’s intelligence agency and on plans to remove Hitler from power

(Nov. 10, 2013) — Following the United States’ entry into World War II, Nazi regime dictator Adolf Hitler ordered the training of saboteurs to “infiltrate” the country to destroy commercial sites, railroads and manufacturing infrastructure.

A major goal of Hitler’s was to reduce the number of armaments the United States was able to produce and ship in the war effort.  Hitler assigned the sabotage mission to Admiral Wilhelm Canaris, head of the German intelligence agency, the Abwehr.  Canaris had successfully entered the United States during World War I, in 1916, to carry out terrorist attacks in munitions factories in New York City.

Canaris might have secretly intended to overthrow the German Nazi regime.  In 1944, Canaris was “cashiered” by Hitler and later arrested, accused of having participated in a plot to have Hitler deposed and assassinated.  Hitler then ordered Canadis and an assistant executed.

Called Operation Pastorius, the first group of a dozen would-be saboteurs was trained near Brandenburg, then culled to eight.  Two were U.S. citizens, with the remaining six having lived in the U.S. prior to their return to Germany.  Before embarking on their mission, they received training in the use of explosives, the locations of American industrial production sites, and “concealment of identity.”

Two leaders were chosen and the eight were divided into two groups with different destinations.  Leaving Germany at the end of May 1942, one team landed on Long Island, while another went to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.  Both teams buried their explosives in the beach sand with the intent that they would be discovered.

The first team landed on Long Island on June 13, 1942, where they were spotted by a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, Seaman John Cullen, whose assignment was to seek evidence of anything “suspicious on the sand.”  While on patrol that evening, Cullen encountered Dasch’s team, of whom he was immediately suspicious as German spies.  One verbally threatened his life in English, but then Cullen heard one shout to the others in German.  Dasch then gave Cullen a bribe of $260 in American currency to keep quiet about what he had seen and heard.  Appearing to acquiesce to the scheme, Cullen took the money but immediately ran two miles to headquarters and reported the incident.

Cullen was lauded as a war hero, having received the Legion of Merit award for his actions and been drawn into “the Coast Guard’s publicity machine.”  He passed away in 2011 at age 90.

Shaken, the four traveled to Manhattan.  Within a week, Dasch and a team member decided to reveal the plot to U.S. authorities, perhaps out of fear of detection.  Dasch contacted the FBI in New York City, which failed to take his report seriously.  Dasch then traveled to Washington, DC, where he was interrogated for hours and taken into custody.

Information provided by Dasch enabled the FBI to capture the remaining infiltrators by June 27, all of whom were charged with espionage.  On August 8, 1942, six of the saboteurs were put to death.  The remaining two, who had informed the FBI of the plot, were imprisoned but eventually deported to Germany.

The FBI reports that no additional German saboteurs were dispatched to the U.S., while another source states that “two more spies” were sent and “captured shortly.”

In February 1950, Sen. Joseph McCarthy began a vocal campaign against what he claimed was communist infiltration in the United States, particularly within the U.S. State Department.  While some praise him for raising public awareness of perceived communist threats inside the country, others claim McCarthy used the platform as a campaign ploy to win re-election in 1952.  Some have accused McCarthy of having “bullied defendants under cross-examination with unlawful and damaging accusations, destroying the reputations of hundreds of innocent citizens and officials.”

A different report contends that McCarthy “sought to avoid naming names publicly when possible, using numbered cases instead of names in public session. He preferred to name his suspects only in executive session, in order to protect those who might have been erroneously identified by the FBI, State Department Security, Army counterintelligence, etc.”

McCarthy reportedly received his information about alleged communists from J. Edgar Hoover, founder of the FBI.  Hoover had directed investigations focusing on Hollywood actors and entertainers, some of whom opposed the military draft, supported “civil rights,” while reportedly asking “why we were supposed to be so afraid of the communists.”

During the 1920s, Soviet dictator Josef Stalin sought to control the motion-picture industry with communist propaganda.

The Kennedy family and many other Catholics supported McCarthy’s apparent fight against communist influence in the U.S.  While investigating individuals for ties to communism, McCarthy served as Chairman of the Senate Government Operations Committee and the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.  Wikipedia reports of McCarthy that:

His subcommittee held 169 hearings throughout 1953 and 1954. Of the 653 people called by the Committee during a 15 month period, 83 refused to answer questions about espionage and subversive activities on constitutional grounds and their names were made public. Nine additional witnesses invoked the Fifth Amendment in executive session, and their names were not made public. Some of the 83 were working or had worked for the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, the Government Printing Office, the US Treasury Department, the Office of War Information, the Office of Strategic Services, and the Veterans Administration. Others were or had been employed at the Federal Telecommunications Laboratories in New Jersey, the secret radar laboratories of the Army Signal Corps in New Jersey, and General Electric defense plants in Massachusetts and New York. Nineteen of the 83, including well known communist party members James S. Allen, Herbert Aptheker, and Earl Browder, were summoned because their writings were being carried in U.S. Information Service libraries around the world.

Robert F. Kennedy, brother of John F. Kennedy, served as an assistant counsel to the work of the subcommittee.

McCarthy was excoriated in much of the press for his claims, censured for his actions by the Senate “for behavior that was ‘contrary to senatorial traditions,’” and died at the age of 49 of alcoholism.

Some believed that the Senate’s censure and even McCarthy’s early death would not cease the anti-communist “hysteria” which McCarthy had reputedly spawned.

But was McCarthy right about communism in the United States?

Sen. Joseph McCarthy grew up on a farm in Wisconsin. He served in the Marines during World War II, earned a law degree, served as a judge, and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1946. He died during his second term in the Senate at age 49.

In the post-World War II era, McCarthy accused the Democrat Party of being “soft” on communism.  Dwight D. Eisenhower, who won the presidency in 1952, at times campaigned with McCarthy with the objective of winning McCarthy’s home state of Wisconsin.  After Eisenhower was elected, however, McCarthy accused the Army of harboring communist sympathizers, to which Eisenhower took offense and ordered a congressional investigation into McCarthy’s conduct.

A 2006 article about the relationship between Hoover and McCarthy reported that Hoover “realized that one of the party’s chief objectives was to sow confusion, suspicion and hatred among the American people.”

Just six years after McCarthy’s death, Democrat Rep. Albert S. Herlong, Jr. of Florida read into the congressional record a list of goals taken from the book The Naked Communist written by former FBI Special Agent W. Cleon Skousen.  Skousen is also author of The 5,000 Year Leap.

Because of his expressed views that bankers and industrialists had caused communism to gain strength, Skousen became a pariah and was spurned by a leader of his church, the Church of Latter-Day Saints despite the President of Brigham Young University having agreed with Skousen.

Following his death in2006, Skousen has been called “a whack job” and “all-around nut job.”

The 45 goals from Skousen’s book include:

  • admission of Red China to the U.N.
  • Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces…
  • Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
  • Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
  • Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
  • Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
  • Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
  • Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

The Communist Party in the U.S. has been active for approximately a century, and it endorsed Barack Hussein Obama in both 2008 and 2012, calling him “a friend.”  Obama reportedly was acquainted with the well-known communist sympathizer and writer, Frank Marshall Davis, in Hawaii, if his public life story is accurate.  A recent unverified report refers to “an American communist” as Obama’s biological father rather than Barack Hussein Obama Sr., who is Obama’s claimed biological father.

Obama was a member of The New Party in Chicago, where Davis had originally lived and worked.  The goal of the party was to move the Democrat Party to the left politically.

The American Communist Party says it espouses “radical ideas” and seeks to “create a socialist America” by incorporating the charge of “racism” against its opponents, including in regard to Obama.

Obama has taken actions which are widely regarded as part of the Cloward-Piven strategy to “overwhelm” the United States’ capitalist system with entitlement payouts, social programs and unaffordable obligations so as to topple its economy and usher in socialism.

The United States is now more than $17 trillion in debt.

The House Committee on Un-American Activities was abolished in 1975.

Promiscuity is widespread in the fields of advertising, television programming, movies, print magazines, and internet websites.

The media is dominated by left-leaning and possibly communist-leaning writers and reporters.  “News” rarely contains investigative content, but rather, a push for the social re-engineering of the country, including “gay immigration.”

“Alternative” lifestyles, including civil unions and gay marriage, have been forced on some of the states, defying the will of the voters in California and depriving voters of the right to vote on the issue in others.  The major media does not report that the people wish to vote on the issue rather than have their state legislators decide the matter for them.

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie, who recently called a special session of the legislature to consider a homosexual marriage bill, reportedly has “close ties to the marxist based Democratic Socialists of America.”

In 2010, out of 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, at least 70 were occupied by socialist Democrats.

The Obama regime has rolled out the “Common Core” educational curriculum, which reportedly teaches children that “The people must obey the government’s commands.” The program reportedly “replaces the classics with government propaganda.”  Another source called Common Core “a collectivist’s dream.” One parent called Common Core a “highly centralized approaches which parallels a Soviet style of collectivism.”

While Obama and his education secretary, Arne Duncan, claim that the states voluntarily adopted Common Core for their classrooms, the program was linked to federal funding in the “Race to the Top” campaign of 2009 using borrowed Stimulus Bill funds.  A student speaking to his county school board described Common Core as “a bribe.”

The first leader of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Lenin, was known to have said, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

Common Core contains pornographic and offensive reading material of which many parents are not yet aware (Warning:  Highly obscene content in link. Not for children).  The material arguably attempts to portray perpetrators as victims and victims as faceless, nameless and inconsequential.

Many of Obama’s associates have connections to radical environmentalism, communism, socialism and Black Liberation Theology, which espouses black supremacy and “social justice.”  Vernon Jarrett, the father-in-law of Obama’s senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, was a well-known communist writer in Chicago, along with Frank Marshall Davis.

An image purported to be Obama’s long-form birth certificate was posted on the White House website on April 27, 2011 but has been reported to be completely fraudulent by a law enforcement investigation.

Obama also appears to be drawn to Muslims with ties to radical Islam, which U.S. Armed Forces are allegedly expected to fight overseas.  Obama has been accused of working against the government of Egypt with a known member of The Muslim Brotherhood, deposed Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi.  The filing at the International Criminal Court has not been reported by major media.

For nearly five years, the mainstream media has fought the assertion that Obama is a socialist and spread arguable propaganda about his religious practices and other aspects of his personal life.  The Associated Press only recently revealed that it has taken only two live photos of Obama at the White House over the past five years, instead publishing prepared “propaganda” photos supplied by the White House for its articles.  The AP is a major source of news in the U.S., as its stories are carried by many other outlets.

During the years of the Obama regime, citizens defending their First Amendment right to petition their government for redress of grievances have been bankrupted, marginalized, jailed, imprisoned, deprived of due process, forced to take medication, and ridiculed, particularly if they questioned the authenticity of Obama’s long-form birth certificate, which has been declared fraudulent.  An unknown number of internet operatives have hacked websites and email accounts, placed obscene phone calls, provided false reports to law enforcement, and foiled any attempts of investigators to find the truth about Obama’s history and birthplace.

In communist countries such as Cuba and China, political speech against the government is forbidden, and protesters are imprisoned, sometimes in “forced labor camps.”

No major news company has reported on the findings of forgery in regard to Obama’s documentation.

“Birthers” have been called “sovereign citizens,” “followers of the devil,” “seditionist,” “racist,” and “white supremacist,” including in mainstream publications, where the underlying questions about forgery, fraud, deceit and conspiracy have never been raised.

A mainstream media outlet has been named as a co-conspirator in the perpetration of the crimes, with specific identities contained in a sealed affidavit at a U.S. District Court.  On Friday, radio host Carl Gallups said that the “birth certificate” issue has been used to deter anyone from looking beyond it to discover why a fraudulent document was presented to the public in the first place.

One member of Congress has accused Obama of “betrayal” for lying about his health care plan, which a majority of Americans wish to see changed or abolished.  Obama has been accused of treason since 2009.

Six of the eight German saboteurs were executed.  What will be the penalty for those who have committed perhaps the most audacious crime in the history of the United States?

“What will happen to them?” – maybe a slap on the wrist, but more probably a promotion.

Members of the John Birch Society, which predicted what we are going through today, were called “crazy” back in the 60’s. Even today, as we are ruled by a known Socialist, they are considered a bunch of crazies.

My neighbor, who used to bring me to JBS meetings when I as a kid, was not the crazy person. The ones who called him “crazy” are the ones that put us in this position.
