LOWERED STANDARDS RESULT IN A “MEDIOCRACY“

(Sep. 3, 2013) — What we have here is a failure to recognize a grave mistake and we therefore suffer the consequences for completely ignoring our failure to correct the error. The infection has been spreading throughout our country. At first, it seemed innocuous. But now, the payback of Affirmative Action has finally reared its ugly head and exposed itself for what it truly is: a complete and abject failure from the day it was dreamed up by some supposed “Do-Gooder” who, in following in the footsteps of previous “Do-Gooders” throughout the centuries, only added additional strife and heartache to the human populations they’ve tried to “help.”
Once upon a time there were standards for every type of job in America. If you wanted to be a pilot, you needed to know about communications. Maybe you didn’t like fires so you strove to be a fireman, who had to know how to extinguish a particular type of fire with a specific retardant. CAUTION: do not use water to put out an oil fire. Reading and comprehension are important for both jobs, and writing reports yet another qualification. “Please explain how the plane ran into the gate” and “Why was the ladder in the upright position while attempting to go under the trestle?”
Now, don’t get me wrong; I believe that everyone should have an equal opportunity to achieve whatever goals he or she can dream up. However, that shouldn’t mean lowering standards in order to accommodate unqualified candidates for a warped sense of achievement that isn’t warranted due to lack of ability. A “Free Pass” isn’t “free;” somewhere, somehow, someone has to pay, or maybe a whole lot of someones, as in you and me, for others not measuring up.
Nowhere is this more visible than with today’s law enforcement, from the FBI to the cop walking the beat. It used to be that the first requirement to become a police officer was to have an Honorable Discharge from one of the branches of the military. Of course, that was back in the day when the military was made up of men and not composed of left-wing crybabies who sit back and quietly watch as an honorable man, LTC Terry Lakin, is railroaded in a kangaroo Court Martial, treated as a common criminal for asking to see a the real honest-to-goodness Birth Certificate of the usurper, illegal immigrant, Muslim, stolen-Social-Security-number, de facto president.
Military indoctrination hadn’t changed between the 1900’s and the 1990’s until “Political Correctness” took hold of the underachievers of the world and pushed their “Mediocrity: the New Normal” as the new standard our troops had to meet in order to receive an Honorable Discharge. Heck, the cops today, if they had to go through a Boot Camp of the 1950’s, would’ve been sent home within the first couple of weeks as being “Undesirable” because of their academic shortcomings, especially their inability to understand the US Constitution and what really constitutes an illegal order.
No, the cops of today, from the FBI to the cop on the beat, just don’t have what it takes. It’s not their fault; it’s our fault for having lowered the standards. We lower the standards to accept mediocrity, so we end up with a bunch of punks wearing uniforms with “I gotta be the Boss” complexes, who shoot up steroids and skip the drug test, isn’t that right? AND blindly follow illegal orders, which violates our 4th Amendment rights.
Just an observation from one citizen. One would think, since the police are also taxpayers, they’d be as upset as everyone else about the lowering of the standards, but they’re not, are they? And that, if nothing else, is an indication of how much trouble law-abiding citizens are in, for if those who are tasked with upholding the law don’t even know what the law is, we’re ALL in big trouble.
