Update on Repeal Efforts of New York SAFE Act

We had a whirlwind of a week. To write a full detailed report would almost be a book…lol. Here are some of the important details (I’m sure you are hearing about some of the fun occurrences from others). 4 protests: Syracuse (twice), Binghamton and Altamont. All 4 events were protesting Cuomo and Obama (2 stops on his NY tour) and fighting for FULL Repeal of the Safe Act. We drove our banner sign truck though towns and cities and got a huge positive response. I was interviewed by 8 TV stations and at least a dozen newspapers. Many others had media coverage too. We are making progress in our efforts for FULL Repeal of the Safe Act.

Our Grassroots distributed Cuomo’s Gotta Go T-Shirts at the NYS Fair. They are quite a hit (hope you saw the “Cuomo Meets Sam” you-tube video….lol – that was great). We hope to be selling these T-Shirts until there are Seas of lime green seen across the state (stay tuned for details).We sold out the second version of our lawn signs and began distributing our 3rd lawn sign version– which is a very impressive full color graphic sign designed similar to our banners on our truck. We estimate that there are now more than 14,000 lawn signs throughout the state. (we need a million – coverage along every road in the state – that would be great !!!!)We are now approaching 100,000 MORE signed post cards of our 3rd Demand Petition Post Card. We also distributed over 30,000 of the post cards to people who will be holding post card signing parties. Our goal is to have at least 500,000 signs post cards for September delivery to Albany. Note: the Demand Post Card file is attached to this email for you to print and sign. (10 friends at YOUR signing party can sign over 2,000 in about 20 minutes). Please participate – it is important to Keep The Pressure On the Albany lawmakers – “We the People” CAN force our will for FULL Repeal of the Safe Act.  Our Repeal the Safe Act balloons have now lined the main street in Watkins Glen – lined the Vestal Pkwy as Obama drove by – we flooded the opening day of the NYS Fair with kids carrying balloons (that was a lot of fun….lol) – balloons filled the air at all 4 of this weeks protests too – they were seen in newspapers and on TV. Oh – I forgot the kick off of “balloons over Plattsburgh.”  FLYER Distribution: We distributed many 1000s of a 1/2 sheet “In the Darkness of Night” flyer. We put them on cars in parking lots, piles in stores – hand distributed them to people entering the NYS Fair – piles to Gun Stores and passed them out at all 4 protests. NOTE: the master file is attached for YOU to print and distribute copies wherever you go.WE intend to dog Cuomo everywhere he goes. We hope others will dog lawmakers across the state too. We have lots in store for the future – stay tuned!!!!

With hard work and dedication WE CAN get FULL Repeal of the Safe Act….and that will be a new beginning for the people of New York. We are Grassroots – nothing fancy – not even a Website or face-book. Repeal – FULL Repeal of the Safe Act is now more than a possibility.
