WILL ORGANIZERS AGAINST ARPAIO STOP HERE?

by Sharon Rondeau

An effort to remove Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio failed on Thursday evening when the required number of signatures, 335,000, was not met

(May 30, 2013) — The Associated Press has reported that the deadline for a group attempting to recall Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio fell short of the required number of signatures whose deadline for submission was Thursday evening.

As of press time at 9:41 p.m. EDT, other than The Huffington Post, the mainstream press had not updated its publications to reflect the failure of the group “Respect Arizona,” which organized the recall effort and was countered by Atty. Larry Klayman, who represented the sheriff.

Klayman had responded to a lawsuit filed by “Respect Arizona” by claiming that the recall effort was unconstitutional and did not follow Arizona law, which states that a recall effort cannot be mounted until an officeholder had served six months of the term to which he was elected.  The plaintiffs claimed that Arpaio had already served multiple terms and that his re-election did not start a new six-month period of service.

PPSimmons reported that the unsuccessful recall outcome signifies that Arpaio “is now free to pursue the full throttle criminal investigation on the Obama Fraud Case.”  In September 2011, Arpaio commissioned a Cold Case Posse to investigate claims that the long-form birth certificate with Obama’s name which was uploaded to the White House website on April 27, 2011 was a forgery.

To their initial surprise, members of the posse concluded in March of last year that the image is indeed a forgery, along with Obama’s Selective Service registration form.

“Respect Arizona” has not yet updated its website to reflect the news.

On May 24, a federal judge ruled that Arpaio’s office had participated in racial profiling to determine whether or not a person was in the county illegally.  The sheriff’s office issued a statement which indicated disagreement with the ruling, a pledge to abide by the spirit of the ruling, and the intention to appeal it.

The judge’s ruling stated that he did not consider those in the country illegally to have committed a crime.

  1. Maybe for once the truth will prevail. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is indeed the best of the best, always has been, he is what a lawman is supposed to be. Arpaio is fair, does no racial profiling whatsoever; it is called recognition, truth and reality, a crime is a crime and a criminal is a criminal. This federal Judge G. Murray Snow is the problem here and should be fired or recalled. If America is ever to get repaired, it is great Sheriff’s like Arpaio that are going to get it done. I also believe that gigclick’s article in the above story is an accurate assessment of fact and if we don’t darn soon start punishing criminals then all these liberal, communists, traitors will just keep gnawing away at our freedoms and at everything that was once right about America.
