Gosnell removed children from their mothers’ wombs at more than 24 weeks’ gestation, which violated Pennsylvania law and resulted in his allowing them to die in sordid and cruel conditions. Gosnell was aided by untrained staff, and one woman died of an overdose of pain-killer under his care.
