“A RACE AGAINST TIME”

(Apr. 14, 2013) — Look, there’s something I’ve got to get off my chest, and this is it. Last year when I held my Presidential Rally, the price of admission was to show your loaded gun.  There were somewhere around 300 vehicles parked in the field, ten rows of fifteen vehicles per side, I’d say cars but I’d say half were pickup trucks. And yes, everyone did have a weapon of sorts, the women handguns and the men brought their biggest and best guns.  Heck, one guy had a .50 cal while another had a real Purdy elephant gun.

As you can imagine, for the first half-hour it was show and tell, and everyone was smiling and having a good time, Americans just being Americans. Half the crowd was made up of women, with a few Spanish and around 10% Black folk.

Then I introduced myself as OPOVV and everyone cheered with raised guns. Oh, and this is a really neat part: nobody had a phone out, no picture-taking and no texting. Nobody said anything about not being rude; it was just understood that we were a group of people gathered to pay homage to our Constitution. No hat was passed around for “donations.”  That was it.

I started off the rally with “The Pledge of Allegiance followed by “God Bless America,” the “National Anthem“and there were quite a few tears after our anthem was sung.

I then went over my platform and said it really wasn’t my ideas, but just common-sense ideas that would help insure that the Constitution would remain intact. I mentioned the Flat tax to replace the income tax, getting our military back on track, and talked a little about what a beautiful document our Constitution is, which brings me to the point of this particular editorial.

The chances of the Constitution being written, agreed upon, and implemented are so outlandish that the odds of it occurring is in the neighborhood of billions to one, not millions. Even though there are many things wrong with some aspects of what’s been happening in America, the Constitution isn’t at fault: it’s the fault of ignorant, greedy people who had (and have) no empathy for what they have: freedom to act as criminals stealing our Freedoms from us (and, at the same time, stealing their own Freedoms from themselves, but either they’re too shortsighted to see that or they don’t care, and are destroying the Constitution on purpose, which makes them a marked enemy just as if they were on the battlefield).

This is what I regret I didn’t say to my supporters: We’re in a race against time, and our elected representatives have aptly demonstrated that they care not for our country but only for their reelection and other meaningless (to us) goals of self-satisfaction (meaning “Take as much as you can take”). This race is for the survival of our Constitution, our country and our lives.  Obama never thought he’d last six months had the hoax been exposed, but they underestimated the capacity some of our fellow citizens have for power and money.

During the 2008 election, McCain NEVER brought up the Birth Certificate issue; likewise with Romney in 2012. Obots in disguise, or maybe too stupid to know it.

The clock is ticking. At the beginning, they’ll send SWAT teams to take us away in the wee hours of the night and, once the troublemakers are gone, they’ll come for the rest of us, and that means you. Without the Second Amendment, we don’t stand a snowball’s chance. Something to reflect on, wouldn’t you think?
