HENDERSONS TO HAVE UNMONITORED, OVERNIGHT VISIT WITH CHILDREN THIS WEEKEND
by Sharon Rondeau
(Mar. 22, 2013) — The Post & Email has been reporting on the case of two parents who have been attempting to reunite with their seven children, who have been in foster homes since the parents’ arrest and jailing in May 2011.
There have been many ups and downs in the case, including visits with the children which never took place, judicial orders which appeared to contradict DCFS pledges, and months of monitored visits which recently were converted to unmonitored. Questions arose after DCFS advised Jeffrey, the father, to move into the home where his wife is residing and days later, the judge suggested strongly that the parents split up.
On Friday afternoon, the mother, Erica Henderson, posted the following at the Facebook support page:
I have great news to announce! The babies are coming sunday, and will spend the night sunday night and monday night, and all day tuesday!!! Baruch HaShem.
Baruch HaShem means “Blessed be the name of the Lord” in Hebrew.
Update, 9:43 p.m. EDT: Erica Henderson posted, “I just told my babies the good news. Oh, the squeals of joy.”
