U.S. CONGRESSMAN ABSENT FOR MORE THAN A MONTH ALLEGEDLY UNDER TREATMENT FOR “MOOD DISORDER”

by Sharon Rondeau

Jesse Jackson, Jr. has been absent from Congress for more than a month. His office released a medical statement today but would not identify the name of the doctor who allegedly made it.

(Jul. 12, 2012) — Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr., who represents the Second District of Illinois, has been absent from the U.S. House of Representatives for approximately six weeks without explanation until today, when a statement issued from his office contended that he is receiving treatment for a “mood disorder.”

Jackson’s district includes the South Side of Chicago, where Obama worked as a community organizer.  His responsibilities in Congress include membership on the House Appropriations Committee and several subcommittees.  Jackson has also been involved in voter registration drives.  He has served in Congress for 18 years.

Speculation that Jackson had involvement with the attempted selling of the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama’s election to the White House has resulted in the House Ethics Committee investigating whether or not Jackson “offered to raise funds” for then-Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison after being convicted of wire fraud, conspiracy to solicit bribes, extortion and other felonies.

In December, it was reported that Jackson “was willing to trade campaign donations for appointment to the Senate seat being vacated by Barack Obama” and that the Office of Congressional Ethics had been reviewing the evidence.

Last month, a former fundraiser for Jackson and Blagojevich, Raghuveer Nayak, was indicted on charges of bribing doctors to refer their patients to medical facilities under Nayak’s operation.  Nayak had been identified as possibly having offered Blagojevich $6,000,000 to name Jackson as the successor to Obama’s former Senate seat.  Although Nayak was not charged or called upon to be a witness at the Blagojevich trial last year, Nayak reportedly told investigators that Jackson urged him to “to raise campaign money for Blagojevich in hopes that the then-governor would appoint Jackson to the Senate seat vacated by Obama.”

Judicial Watch has reported that Jackson has admitted that he was present during a meeting in 2008 during which Nayak offered $1,000,000 to Blagojevich to place Jackson in the Senate seat.  However, Jackson said that the attendees spoke in a foreign language which he was unable to understand.

After fellow Democrats called for Jackson’s office to explain his recent absence from Congress, a statement allegedly from a doctor, although unnamed, said that Jackson is making good progress for his “mood disorder” and “is expected to make a full recovery.”  Another “source” stated that Jackson is suffering from “sleep disorders.”

There was no medical statement issued after former Commerce Secretary John Bryson caused three car accidents in California last month, went on “medical leave,” and then shortly thereafter, resigned his position.  The Commerce Department issued a press release that Bryson had experienced a seizure, been hospitalized and treated for it, and then flew back to Washington, DC.  Earlier this month, it was announced that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department would not press charges of felony hit-and-run against Bryson.

WebMD reports that mood disorders can lead to more serious problems such as attempted suicide, and that treatment can require a “lengthy period.”  Whether or not “intensive treatment” is successful remains to be seen.  Despite reports that Jackson “is fine,” another report states that Jackson “will likely not return to Congress until after Labor Day.”

In late May, U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, the longest-serving person to hold the office in Chicago, announced his resignation, which was effective June 30.  Fitzgerald had led the investigation into Blagojevich’s eventual arrest and conviction on corruption charges.  Blagojevich had asked that Obama be subpoenaed to testify at his trial, but Obama did not appear.  Rahm Emanuel, former White House Chief of Staff; Valerie Jarrett, Obama senior adviser; and Sen. Richard Durbin were subpoenaed.

Fitzgerald reportedly “waited” to arrest Blagojevich until December 2008 even though the FBI might have had evidence against him earlier than that.  The FBI began investigating Blagojevich during the fall of 2008, when they were informed that Blagojevich was “soliciting campaign contributions in exchange for state official actions.”

Obama and Blagojevich both received funds from Tony Rezko, who was sentenced to federal prison for money laundering and other crimes in 2008.  The three had relationships prior to the 2008 election.

Looks “like father, like son” to me. What ever happened to Jackson Sr.’s little girl friend that his rich corporation “white” buddy set up on that $10k a month job to keep the out of wedlock daughter’s story quiet? They dropped that one fast a while back. Every time the Democrats get in, the gossip magazines light up like a big red light, the kind they have in those places where you meet friendly women. Old Ted Kennedy and his buddy Chris Dodd were real familiar with those places I’ve been told. Just like all the pot parties that the Kennedy’s used to have in Palm Beach with friendly girls there also. I guess their mama’s didn’t teach them to respect woman, somethin’ like that!?+ Just like white hater Sharpton said that “Bush was just finishing out his fathers term” I would imagine that we could say the same about this white hater too that “Junior” is just finishing out his father’s Democratic term, whatever that was supposed to be. We can always use another white hater in the Democratic party, it shows how fine they are. These clowns are a disgrace to real African Americans that have real talent and leadership in their hearts and a proven track record like Herman Cain and West that are conservative and have the ability to think outside the box, of others and not have a one track mind like these fools dressed in suits and ties that don’t fool anyone except people just like themselves. This whole “Democrat Party” thing is like a broken record over and over again, tax/party and spend. Works for them, but not for the rest. Another “groomed fool” that’s not foolin’ us!

Yeah, he had to come down from his drug high. Takes awhile to get it all out of his system.
