DO CONNECTIONS AMONG CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERS LEAD TO OBAMA?

by Sharon Rondeau

Al Sharpton is a civil rights activist who, unlike many, stated openly that Obama is a socialist

(Apr. 1, 2012) — Outspoken “civil rights activist” Al Sharpton is also a commentator at MSNBC, which some are positing is a conflict of interest. Sharpton has recently called for the arrest of George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman who shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin late last month, reportedly in self-defense.  Sharpton is also advocating “economic sanctions” against the city of Sanford, AL, where the incident took place.

Sharpton met with the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida following Martin’s death and then made arrangements for the funeral of his mother, who died while Sharpton was en route to Florida.

Violence has recently broken out in Chicago, killing two people, and Malik Shabazz, leader of The New Black Panthers, has threatened to burn down the city of Detroit if certain steps were taken to bring the city’s finances under control.

Barack Hussein Obama, whose real name might be Bari Malik Shabazz, said that if he had a son, he would “look like Trayvon,” referring to Martin.

Sharpton was reportedly ordained as a minister at the age of ten and learned to pressure businesses to adopt “diversity” practices during the 1960s.  Saul Alinsky had done the same with major companies in Chicago and New York.  Dr. Fred Newman assisted Sharpton in his activism. “When Mr. Sharpton was at a low point in his career as a public leader, Dr. Newman and his followers helped him build a following as he led marches through the streets of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, to protest the racial killing of a black teenager.”

Sharpton has been termed a “master of the sound bite.”  He organized a memorial service following the passing of Michael Jackson at the Apollo Theater, a place frequented by Malcolm X, another black civil rights icon.  After Obama’s health care bill passed in 2010, Sharpton said that people “voted for socialism” when they voted for Obama.  “

Who was Dr. Fred Newman?

Born in the Bronx, Newman earned advanced degrees in analytic philosophy and mathematics and later founded several political parties through “radical community organizing.” Despite having no degree in counseling, he developed a type of psychotherapy called “social therapy” which attracted those unhappy with the status quo and willing to engage in political activity to make reforms.  Newman described one of his groups, the Centers for Change, as “a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist organization.”

Dr. Newman is also stated to be the uncle of “Barack Hussein Obama II,” or Bari M. Shabazz.

Newman’s Independence Party provided direct support to Michael Bloomberg’s campaigns for mayor of New York City.  According to Wikipedia, “In addition to serving as the Republican nominee, Bloomberg had the ballot line of the controversial Independence Party, in which ‘Social Therapy’ leaders Fred Newman and Lenora Fulani exert strong influence. Some say that endorsement was important, as Bloomberg’s votes on that line exceeded his margin of victory over Green.”

Dr. Lenora Fulani, who had been the first black candidate to be on the ballot in all 50 states on Newman’s New Alliance Party ticket, called Newman a “very dear friend, comrade and mentor” after Newman passed away last July.  Fulani stated that Newman was “an early ally of the Rev. Al Sharpton, joining him in many a march and rally anywhere from Bensonhurst, to upstate New York, to London.”

Sharpton “worked closely” with the New Alliance Party, also founded by Newman, to populate his demonstrations and “promote his own projects.”  Sharpton and Newman served as co-moderators of a discussion forum in 1992 on relations between Jews and blacks.  According to the Anti-Defamation League, Newman used his social therapy centers to garner funds for his “fringe” political activities.  Both Newman and Sharpton have expressed support for Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam.

Farrakhan was reportedly recruited into the Nation of Islam by Malcolm X.  Both broke away from the group for different reasons, and three members of the Nation of Islam were convicted in Malcolm’s assassination.  On May 6, 1995, Malcolm’s widow, Betty Shabazz, and Farrakhan appeared together at the Apollo Theater in Harlem to raise funds for the Shabazz family.  Sharpton spoke at a 2011 fundraiser for the family. Obama recently gave his own performance at the Apollo.

Sonia Sotomayor appears to be a proponent of the “perform your lives” mantra of Dr. Fred Newman.

Eric Holder and Bloomberg attended the funeral of Percy Sutton, who was Malcolm X’s attorney and reportedly helped Obama to enter Harvard Law School.

Did Percy Sutton know something that we don’t know?

Malcolm’s eyeglasses are said to now be here.
