CAN IT BE TURNED BACK?

(Sep. 15, 2011) — Cultural Marxism is dangerously eroding American culture and the American Republic. It colors the way we think about America, our lives, our achievements, both individually and as a nation; it even determines our food choices.
We are surrounded by examples of Cultural Marxism. All television program story-lines are driven by Cultural Marxism. Television commercials are tools of Cultural Marxism. Media of all forms are heavily infested with Cultural Marxism. Considering how much we are bombarded by the messages from TV, radio, online, news, sports, children’s cartoons and educational programs–even weather reports–we find even sports announcers bombard us with Cultural Marxism messages. It is a wonder that any of us can have an independent thought … much less fight against the well-financed and encroaching madness that Cultural Marxism represents.
So, just what is Cultural Marxism? What does it do? How is it controlling our lives? What can we do about it?
The birth of Cultural Marxism can be traced back to The Frankfurt School and its embrace of Critical Theory. According to Wikipedia:
“The Frankfurt School is the name usually used to refer to a group of scholars who have been associated at one point or another over several decades with the Institute for Social Research of the University of Frankfurt, including Theodor W. Adorno, Max Horkheimer, Ernst Bloch, Walter Benjamin, Wilhelm Reich, Erich Fromm, Herbert Marcuse, Wolfgang Fritz Haug and Jürgen Habermas. In the 1930s the Institute for Social Research was forced out of Germany by the rise of the Nazi Party. In 1933, the Institute left Germany for Geneva. It then moved to New York City in 1934, where it became affiliated with Columbia University. Its journal Zeitschrift für Sozialforschung was accordingly renamed Studies in Philosophy and Social Science. It was at that moment that much of its important work began to emerge, having gained a favorable reception within American and English academia. Among the key works of the Frankfurt School which applied Marxist categories to the study of culture were Adorno’s “On Popular Music,” which was written with George Simpson and published in Studies in Philosophy and Social Sciences in 1941, Adorno and Horkheimer’s “The Culture Industry: Enlightenment as Mass Deception”, originally a chapter in Dialectic of Enlightenment (1947), and “Culture Industry Reconsidered”, a 1963 radio lecture by Adorno.
After 1945 a number of these surviving Marxists returned to both West and East Germany. Adorno and Horkheimer returned to Frankfurt in 1953 and reestablished the Institute. In West Germany in the late 1950s and early 1960s, a revived interest in Marxism produced a new generation of Marxists engaged with analyzing matters such as the cultural transformations taking place under Fordist capitalism, the impact of new types of popular music and art on traditional cultures, and maintaining the political integrity of discourse in the public sphere. This renewed interest was exemplified by the journal Das Argument. The tradition of thought associated with the Frankfurt School is Critical Theory.[…]“
Bill Lind, writing in his monograph The Origins of Political Correctness (available here) states:
“Where does all this stuff that you’ve heard about this morning – the victim feminism, the gay rights movement, the invented statistics, the rewritten history, the lies, the demands, all the rest of it – where does it come from? For the first time in our history, Americans have to be fearful of what they say, of what they write, and of what they think. They have to be afraid of using the wrong word, a word denounced as offensive or insensitive, or racist, sexist, or homophobic.
We have seen other countries, particularly in this century, where this has been the case. And we have always regarded them with a mixture of pity, and to be truthful, some amusement, because it has struck us as so strange that people would allow a situation to develop where they would be afraid of what words they used. But we now have this situation in this country. We have it primarily on college campuses, but it is spreading throughout the whole society. Were does it come from? What is it?
We call it “Political Correctness.” The name originated as something of a joke, literally in a comic strip, and we tend still to think of it as only half-serious. In fact, it’s deadly serious. It is the great disease of our century, the disease that has left tens of millions of people dead in Europe, in Russia, in China, indeed around the world. It is the disease of ideology. PC is not funny. PC is deadly serious.
If we look at it analytically, if we look at it historically, we quickly find out exactly what it is. Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960s and the hippies and the peace movement, but back to World War I. If we compare the basic tenets of Political Correctness with classical Marxism the parallels are very obvious.[…]“
Okay, but how is it affecting all of us on a daily basis? By what mechanism is Cultural Marxism undermining our Republic and future generations, as well as our American culture? My good friend and co-founder of the blog The Right Planet, Sardaukar’s Pitbull, recently wrote a post in which he used the term Soviet-Style Council Tactics as a descriptor for the mechanism by which the proponents of Cultural Marxism impose and interject their ideology into our everyday lives. In a nutshell, he wrote:
“Hegelian dialectic thinking defined (a.k.a. Soviet-style council tactics)
- A diverse group (‘diversity’ needed for conflict)
- Dialoging to consensus (dialectic process, i.e. squash dissent, introduce confusion)
- Over a Social Issue (problem/crises/issues, i.e. immigrant ‘rights,’ abortion ‘rights,’ healthcare ‘rights,’ gay ‘rights,’ etc.)
- In a facilitated meeting (controlled-environment using group facilitator/change agent, i.e. MSM, schools, government, churches, rallies, ‘staged events,’ protests, etc.)
- To a predetermined outcome (‘paradigm shift,’ ‘fundamental transformation,’ ‘transition’) […]“
Does this sound familiar? Those wishing to impose a Marxist Totalitarian Regime have been using these tactics since just after WWI.
Early inroads were made in American society and culture after the horrors of death and destruction caused by the war. Coupled with the ennui many returning veterans experienced, this was fertile ground for the far-sighted proponents of Marx’s vision. The Communist International (or ComIntern as it was commonly known) was very active in the United States, concentrating mainly on influencing trade unions (cf. IWW or Wobblies). At the same time, in the Soviet Union, a star was rising–Josef Stalin. “Uncle Joe” very effectively used Hegelian Dialectics to organize and control those under his lash and rise in the party structure. By blunt force, Stalin was able to effect the aims of Marxism in his own warped version–turning communism into totalitarianism, under his tutelage. Modern Marxists know this is not achievable in the West by the same methods. So, institutes like the Frankfurt School and the Birmingham School were opened and staffed.
In the United States, the Progressive Party fell and the Socialist Party was effectively banned during the late 1920′s. After the market crash in 1929, these two groups joined forces to promote their complementary agendas. Using graft, blackmail and corruption (all of which was rampant), these behind-the-scenes manipulators began employing techniques developed at the Tavistock Clinic in London. These early attempts at controlling group behavior and organizational behavior (developed by a group of key figures at the Tavistock Clinic, which included Elliott Jaques, Henry Dicks, Leonard Browne, Ronald Hargreaves, John Rawlings Rees, Mary Luff and Wilfred Bion–with Tommy Wilson as chairman–and funded by a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation), bore fruit in the election of FDR and his openly socialist V.P. Henry Wallace. This was the heyday for the advocates of Marxism, with many securing jobs as government paid painters, artists, film makers, etc.. The rise of many a Marxist professor and the incremental infiltration of the Public Schools date from this era.

Many of the techniques used by Dr. Joseph Goebbels in his propaganda campaigns prior to and throughout the Second World War were studied in-depth by the Marxists, with many of the techniques adopted by the American film industry and screen writers in general, in support of the war effort. The Frankfurt School was moved first to Geneva then to New York, finally becoming part of Columbia University.
Now, we enter the post-war world: In the United States, there was a Red Scare that was effectively a purge of unreliable members of the Marxist fraternity. More and more controversial subjects are being presented to the American people; more books and films are being written; and campaigns to loosen moral standards are undertaken. Along comes television as a viable medium and suddenly entirely new supposed journalists appear to report the news (shape our views).
Thus we arrive to today where the media conglomerates–operated by Marxist professor-trained and jaded ideologues–shape our very perception of the world around us and our beliefs.

The GLBT (i.e. Gay/Lesbian/Bi-sexual/Trans-gender) community and their activists (“agents of change”) assault our core values every day with their deep pockets to pay for attorneys to threaten networks and other media, as well as advertisers, in order to promote their repugnant lifestyle.
Pro-Choice advocates who support abortion as a Right, not a choice, likewise have cadres of attorneys to force their view as the norm.
The atheists are also using the same tactics to remove Christianity from everything possible. They also promote every other belief system–from New Age ca-ca to Islam.
Don’t believe me? Watch an entire evening of broadcast television; read the New York Times; watch cable TV; watch children’s programming. Cultural Marxism is everywhere!

With the Pretender-in-Chief that now occupies the Oval Office–his destructive policies, his unvetted czars, DADT, refusal to enforce the DOMA, federal recognition of same sex marriages; and all the other social engineering his Thugocracy is involved in–our slide headlong into a Marxist totalitarian regime is accelerating and seems inevitable. The uncultured slob and his mate could not even act properly at the 9/11 commemoration–making snide comments and inappropriate facial expressions that denigrate the memory of those slain in the most horrendous terrorist attack on American soil.
Is it any wonder then that a Marxist sycophant like Paul Krugman wrote what he did on 9/11/2011 in the New York Times? It was (and is) all about the imposition of Cultural Marxism.
