LET’S MAKE IT A BIGGER NEWSPAPER!

by Sharon Rondeau

(Mar. 29, 2011) — The Post & Email will be making some changes to its website which are now under way.

Many of our readers have thought that once a story “moves off” of our home page, it is no longer accessible or in print.  Every article we publish is available for an unlimited time even if it is not visible.  However, in the interest of making our articles easy to find for a longer length of time, we are looking into expanding to a second page.

Another modification will be the removal of the Hawaii Petition Campaign images from our home and inner pages.  Having done two mailings, we believe this endeavor has served its purpose, particularly with the focus which Donald Trump has brought to Obama’s vital records  and other details of his life.  If Hawaii government employees have broken the law by lying to the public or covering up Obama’s lack of documentation, we are confident that they will be brought to account given that the truth about Obama is emerging.

We have also changed our Comments policy.  Those wishing to leave comments must now register before doing so.  This will assist us in eliminating needless bickering among readers and time spent moderating comments which could be better used investigating, writing  and reporting on the actions of government.

There have also been problems with comments appearing for moderation, and I am hoping that this change resolves them.  Please do not leave links to other material in your comment, as it will automatically be delayed or discarded.  Please keep your statement brief and on point relative to the article about which you are commenting.

Other online newspapers allow for comments but have much larger staffs to handle them.  They also have large and questionably offensive ads.  To save time, please be considerate of others when leaving comments.  If this change does not prove to be effective, the Comments feature will be discontinued.

The registration form for posting comments will be made available shortly.

Our Comment Policy states:

The Post & Email allows comments on its news articles. But because this news site is principally concerned with getting out the news rather than being a forum for conversation or debate, almost none of the comments posted for motives found on other blogs will be published.

Exceptions to this rule are as follows:

Comments regarding errors in our articles will be considered:  if The Post & Email considers it necessary, corrections will be made; but the comment will not be published, unless it merits serious consideration.

Comments disagreeing with editorials or articles will generally not be published unless the commenter is objecting to the fairness and objectivity of the article and has sound reasons to do so.

Comments requesting The Post & Email to divulge its confidential sources will be deleted, as this is contrary to the ethics of journalism.

Comments seeking publicity for other news items or organizations will not be published.

Off-topic comments are almost never published.  Rude comments are never published.  If your rude comment was not published but had some reasonable intent to correct the error of another, try posting it again, but this time with civility.  Because we expect children to be reading our newspaper under the supervision of their parents, we ask that comments be kept clean and free of obscenities and adult innuendo or content.  We feel that there is enough sordidness in the world such that children are always at risk, and we do not wish to contribute to their exposure to it here.

This disclosure is made for the sake of every reader so you know that your comment is treated equitably according to our editorial policy stated here.

We will also be making space for more advertisers who have asked to place their ads with us.

Other online newspapers ask a weekly subscription fee, but The Post & Email publishes its work to the world at no charge.  In order to make The Post & Email more competitive, more expansive and efficient, we  need to raise approximately $300 within the next two weeks.  We prefer to think of income from readers as subscriptions for the service and information we provide rather than donations.  If each reader who hasn’t already done so committed to giving $1.00 each month to help us grow, that would be enormously helpful.

The “Subscribe” button is located on the lower-right of our front page next to the photo of Maj. Stefan Cook.  For one-time donations, please use the “Donate” button below the “Subscribe” button next to the alleged photo of Stanley Ann and Obama when he was young.

Thank you all for your continued support of The Post & Email, Inc.

Update, March 29, 2011: Comments have been temporarily turned back on using the old system until a registration form can be made available.

Update, March 30, 2011: Several readers have brought it to my attention that legitimate comments have never shown up, which is the case.  We are trying to resolve this problem as well as that of legitimate comments being mistakenly marked as Spam.  That is another reason for the need for funds.  Thank you.

Please continue to allow comments regarding the subject of the published articles. Post & Email has become the primary place for objective, truthful, and relevant news in the marketplace. Many times the published news article triggers ideas and facts that the original author did not include which has made the comments feature so powerful to a reader. Comments also allow us to learn of the many intelligent, faithful, and focused people protecting our nation and thus protecting the world. Thank you for all your work

Mrs. Rondeau replies: I agree. I appreciate everyone’s cooperation in staying on-point, avoiding personal attacks on others, and contributing constructively to the discussion.
