WHAT PUNISHMENT DO TRAITORS DESERVE, AND WHEN?

(May 24, 2010) — Having spent 24 years in military service, my feeling about the crime of treason and conspiracy to commit treason is quite powerful and visceral. This is my response to any effort to reduce charges against Obama and his gang or to eliminate the death penalty in the sentencing phase.
To take the death penalty off the table even before beginning any proceeding is a bad idea on several levels. First of all, removing the death penalty states loud and clear that Americans are a bunch of wusses who are too stupid to protect the innermost workings of their own government.
According to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, in time of war, the penalty for treason is death. That includes the Commander-in-Chief. It also includes civilian co-conspirators. With wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and an ongoing war against terrorism, death for acts of treason are absolutely necessary and absolutely called for. There has never been a higher form of treason than that which has been perpetrated by Obama and his co-conspirators. If anyone in history ever deserved the death penalty, it is Obama and his enablers.
You are essentially telling the world that the innermost secrets of our government, to which Obama has had full and absolute access, are not important enough to us to protect through use of the death penalty. All of our nuclear protocols and other emergency government protocols will eventually be aired publicly in these criminals’ life stories or autobiographies!
To give Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and others life sentences is ludicrous. Enabling them to publish life stories or autobiographies instead of allowing them to meet their Maker merely affords them the opportunity to spend the rest of their natural lives sharing our secrets with our enemies and to write about how they perpetrated the greatest fraud in history. Worst of all, there is no effective way, other than the death penalty, to prevent the conspirators from communicating what they know about the operation of the U.S. government and what they have learned with the rest of the world.
The American people deserve to have faith in the sanctity of their government, to know that there is an ultimate penalty to be made in payment for the near destruction of our way of life, all of our suffering, our losses, and the despair these perpetrators caused.
Thomas Jefferson, the third American President, said: “If a man do levy war against the Commonwealth or be adherent to the enemies of the commonwealth giving to them aid or comfort in the commonwealth, or elsewhere, and thereof be convicted of open deed, by the evidence of two sufficient witnesses, or his own voluntary confession, the said cases, and no others, shall be adjudged treasons which extend to the commonwealth, and the person so convicted shall suffer death by hanging, and shall forfeit his lands and goods to the Commonwealth.”
Our Founders knew the cost of their treasonous revolution was death, should they fail, and they expected no less. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and others knew, going into this, that the penalty would be death and that for their crimes, the Eighth Amendment would not be their Savior. They quite obviously elected to go forward despite facing the death penalty. To deny their preparation will amount to having them laugh at us until the day they finally die. To deny them the opportunity of immediately beginning their suffering in Hell, instead of at the end of their natural lives would, in itself, be criminally unjust. It would, in fact, amount to cruel and unusual punishment of all American citizens.

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or
Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

[What is your interpretation of calling for and advocating the 'Fundamental Change of the American Government?]
At first blush, I would suspect only an anarchist would call for such a change. But having recently learned that such advocates are in our schools and teaching our kids in ethnic studies curriculums, I believe the problem is disappointingly wide spread. To down play the seriousness of this would be folly. It will take the reimplementation of the rule of law and renewal of our Republic to even begin minimizing such un-American advocacy. However, advocating change and implementing change to ANY new form of government are clearly different things. So, beyond 18 USC, I would interpret calling for and advocating the fundamental change of the American government as an imperative to fix what is being taught to our kids. Since obama has already implemented his ‘change’, there is little interpretation beyond discussions of undoing the changes. Although obama took his election as a mandate, he is utterly wrong in that his lies and deceptions have totally negated any informed consent of the electorate.

I am wondering where you believe our top military stands on the AKAObama crisis.
Equally or more important are mid-level officers likely to back our position, and how many do you think follow Oathkeepers?
Bill says: Without making excuses, we all must understand that both mid- and upper-level officers have a lot invested in their careers. Most of them, just as most of us, were completely taken in by obama and his lies. As for actual members of Oathkeepers, I think the number may be fairly high. But since the people in our military are all volunteers, I suspect that a vast majority of them are patriots, whether Oathkeeper members or not. Having said that, how upper and mid-level officers react when this issue finally bubbles over will greatly depend on the options handed to them. If we, on the outside of the military will take care to ensure mechanisms are given for determining who was coerced by superiors and an option of salvaging careers, I think most of our military would to do the right thing, defend their country. May history prove me close to right !!

Seems to me then if we keep up the pressure for proof, proof, and proof,
we should be able to swing sentiment, both public and military to the right
side, our side.

Many in government know what is up……..they are sitting in their offices
trying to cover their own behinds. Problem is they are frozen in place until the elections and trying to cover their largesse with bunched undies.
Sitting in frozen undies, all in a bunch, cannot be very comfortable, though it may give you a false sense of being cool, calm and collected.

I brought this forward to illustrate a concern of mine that indeed WE need the military on OUR side, the RIGHT CONSTITUTIONAL SIDE. If the Joint Chiefs feel too threatened with their own destruction, they will of course back the USURPER, or perhaps oust him, declare martial law on their own and turn us into a military dictatorship to save their own hides.
SCOTUS may well realize this dilemma and is taking an avoidance position, per Justice Thomas.
Congress will not or cannot act as currently constructed.
So I believe all of government is waiting to see the political outcome of elections in 2010 and 2012, hoping this Constitutional nightmare just fades away and all is forgiven.
As an afterthought, I submit that ALL this rises WAY above and beyond any puny, pukey, outrageous charges of racism.

Vic Hern, after seeing your comment above posted in several places here, it’s plain that this concerns you very much. I was also greatly concerned about this last year and, while reading up online about the oath taken by members of our military, I discovered the Oath Keepers. They are a group of military and law enforcement, veterans and active duty, that reminds other members of military and law enforcement of the oath they took so that, should they ever be faced with the dilemna you describe, they’ll know what they’re to do as per the oath(s) they took.

Yes I have been to Oath Keepers site often, and like you have promoted their cause many times. In fact it was I that urged them to offer protection to Orly Taitz in California when her case went before judge Carter. I also urged them to check-in with Judge Carter (former active duty Marine) to offer protection if he deemed necessary. This was before the judge seemed to turn around and march lock-step with the DOJ.
And yes I have been considering joining their associate program, just procrastinating a bit.
I have a favorite nephew who was one of the Heroes going into Mogadishu AFTER Black Hawk Down. He was fortunately only slightly wounded when an RPG hit the building just above his head. A concrete block blew loose and fell on his bicep and has left a dent to this day. Other than that he said he was picking shrapnel from his face and forearm for months after. On reflection he expressed some cynicism because Clinton sent us there to feed the starving Somali’s, but he never saw a skinny, starving one the whole time there.
I turned him on to Oath Keepers and believe he has oathed-up, although he did state that because he was a recruiter for years before retirement, his Oath is always there anyway.
He has stated his belief that the high ranking military is VERY political, seeming to indicate that they may NOT support OUR position. My concern is the middle ranking and below who may be asked to support the USURPER.
We need them on OUR side. Not sure how we accomplish that or get assurances let alone a guarantee.

This is the best way to end the corruption in Congress. Off with their heads. Each member of Congress was made aware that there is a Usurper in the White House. Once the Usurper is outed, we can kick them all out, send them to the guillotines and start all over.

Any sane civil society must have a death penalty! It is the ultimate punishment for the deserving ultimate crime and does serve as a reminder to people that there is a consequence for your crimes. If people have been wrongly convicted and wrongly sentenced to the penalty of death, that is a problem with the legal system and not with the death sentence punishment itself!
