Looks like Cheney is running scared. He may have to retreat to his new digs in Dubai soon - his safehaven. He and Bush Boy should both be scared as other countries seriously contemplate charging them with war crimes. As they should be.

A trial in NYC is completely legal and appropriate, according to Judge Napolitano, Webster Tarpley and others. War was never declared. We invaded. Big distinction there and thus allows for the appropriateness of the trials to be held in NYC instead of going the route of a military tribunal.

Just more of the same...the games government and the press like to "play" with the people.

-------------------

Mr. Charlton replies: I agree, neither Irag nor Al-Qaeda declared war. And we did invade Iraq twice with UN mandate, and followed the laws of war. In Afghanistan we did not need to declare war because we had already been attacked, nor was the Taliban or Al-Queda due a declaration of war because they were not sovereign powers. As for the motives behind Bush and Cheney, that is quite different from the question of legimacy of war, becasue it is the Senate which declares war, not the Pres or VP. So in international law it is the Senate who is ultimately responsible. The pres and VP are responsible morally for having influnced the Senate. But that does not make them guilty of war crimes, unless the war was criminal. Neither action of the U.S. Military in Irag or Afghanistan was criminal.

The subtitle to this article quotes Cheney as saying Obama is "aiding and abetting the enemy."

Where does that quote come from? It's not in the comments quoted in the article itself. Did he say it somewhere else on the video?

-------------
Mr. Charlton replies: Cheney said "aiding" its right in the transcript; he also said it would make "Kalid Shek Mohammend something of a hero ... put him on the map", that will lead to more recruitment of terrorists, that that is what abetting means....helping...
