PRAYER FOR VICTIMS OF PEARL HARBOR ATTACK, DEC. 7, 1941

Almighty and Eternal Father,
who in thy mysterious providence hath permitted,
the carnage and treacheries of war,
hear the prayer which we raise today in the silence of our hearts,
as we commemorate this anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor:
Have mercy on all those who died that day, in the manner Thou dost know best,
and look to the comfort of those who still bear the scars of body and soul
inflicted on that day.
Grant to the leaders of our nation the strength of character and resolve,
to always put the defense of America and its people before
every political agenda and ideology: and in Thy own Majestic manner,
remind them that they only serve at Thy Pleasure and with Thy protection,
before Whose throne they shall surly stand in judgment
in the hour Thou hast already foreordained.
Amen.
It seems odd that Google did not “put up” some artwork for such a memorable date … perhaps Obama asked them not to???
